Plus testing for this virus is somewhat difficult.
So containment (the usual practice) is not going to work. Incubation period of 4 weeks? Try to contain people (on a mass scale) for a month and see what happens.

Predictions are that at least 40% of the world population will contract it. That's not good with a 12%+ mortality rate.
Vaccines are going to be a real thing for this one.. and expect the Government to demand vaccination records.
I can see the protesters lining up for this one...all of them getting vaccinated when they go to jail. And whining about it afterwards.

Vaccines are real life savers. All a mask does is prevent other people from catching it if you're the one who's sick. (Or somebody who's sick is wearing it around you) I don't think it will prevent you from getting the disease if you just wear it constantly on a daily basis.



I understand of wanting to take precautions, and it's a completely horrible disease, but the media is definitely blowing this out of proportion and acting like it's Armageddon or something.

I agree with you.
I think it's mass hysteria.
Just look at the different opinions on this one thread...
who hears one thing...
who hears another thing.
It's like even the experts can't get together.
I heard that from the normal flu we get 2 to 3 deaths per day (in Italy) but this is not even reported anymore.

When are we going to stop hearing gossip and start hearing the facts? Oh wait a minute that's right,.. that's what the majority of the news is today. One big game of telephone.

Every year there is a new dramatised flu that always gets under control. It's just like another SARS, what happened to that?. What about all that bird flu and swine flu.

Too many people are negative thinkers, should have a positive outlook in life.

Mass hysteria isnt,the best either ,

Remember sars,Ebola,bird flue panics ,

Those still exist Ebola,and those are types of corona virus.

With so many mosquitoes in Australia im surprised we don't hear much about the disease and death they spread here

That's probably because Australia has good bio security, you don't get Malaria and that's a dangerous one. That's why everyone must go through bio security to make sure no one is carrying any foreign pests or disease when entering Australia from any foreign land.

The people who think it's ok for people to enter a country illegally should understand this, boarder security is for everyones protection.
