I got some the other day...2 kinds, one vanilla, one caramel. I'm a heavy coffee drinker, and its one of the -few- things I am able and willing to semi-splurge on...a quality brew. OK. so, those 2 flavors were awesome...arabica, dark brew, quality flavor. and so...

I ran out :-( got some Irish creme flavored coffee, and...whoa. whoa. what a let down! its arabica, but apparently a "light brew" (?), and the stuff comes out an odd color, kinda...powder-y. brewed it up strong, per usual and...blah. I mean, I"m stuck with it till it runs out, I guess I'll learn to love it (LOL), but it has this odd aftertaste of...

Bubble-Yum, maybe? I dunno. Next time I'll find a way to get the Irish creme -creamer- , before it goes out of stock. But, it led to me to ask...

aside from the starbuck's offerings (not to sound like a wanna-be coffee snob, but I have yet to go wrong with their products), are there any good, widely available flavored brews out there? And...

as a side question, what is Irish creme flavor, anyway? is there some way to whip up a non-alcoholic variety, for mahself?

thanks. :)

Irish cream is Irish whiskey flavor with cream flavor.
All artificial flavorings.
However....
Bushmills and whipped cream in your real coffee taste different. I'd recommend tasting and see...but that's probably not a good idea.

Try some Pete's...
Or some 8 O'Clock...

Of the Starbucks varieties I happen to like the Sumatra. Strong bitter with an herbish flavor.

i guess I'll go for Starbucks in the future...ugh. I was kinda hoping to find a lower priced brand, or a different brand or...how do I put this kindly...-not- be a Starbucks super fan. lol. nothin' wrong with it, I guess...go with what works, right? right. :)

The Irish Creme stuff is kinda growing on me. Probably necessity. LOL.

i should probably drink less coffee and stop brewing it mega-extra-strength, lol. i wasn't even aware of it until i went over to my parents' place. dad wanted me to make some coffee, blah blah blah, he told me how much they use per pot, and...

wow. im running at 3x that strength. i thought...full pot=full basket.

as for flavors...

turns out, walmart even has torani syrups now. they have starbucks syrups, too, but the torani (to me) is where its at. i would go for flavored creamers, but i prefer half n half, heavy cream...fatty, i know, but at least it wasn't developed in a laboratory.

that irish cream was just such a let down. i mean...ugh...and I had such high hopes... (single tear running down 1 cheek). :)
