Im a little confused. I don't know where I want to live. It's hard to decide cus my family is so scattered. I don't know what to pursue. The places where I want to pursue my career are pretty bad. They don't call it the big apple for nothing...sin everywhere. I keep being led there by people but I am not feeling like that is where I belong. I like nature and a strong Christian presence. I don't feel that in my home town. Perhaps I'm not looking hard enough there? I found a great church in Fl and I feel like I want to stay here but loneliness is bothering me because I DON'T KNOW ANYBODY HERE...

You can't meet any new people unless you leave the house. Being too shy to talk to people is no help either. Find some Christian social groups. :twocents

where do you feel the best, also pray on it, and be silent and let the Holy Ghost speak to you. Also I think it is Acts 17:26 that say where you live is already pre ordained.KJV

How did you know I never leave the house?

I don't feel the best anywhere, that's the problem. Thanks for the scripture... :)

Hi Fembot,

You said you found a great church there. Can you not make friends with them? Do they have no activities? It does take a little time to form friendships. It sounds like you are single. So am I, and I know how lonely it can be. Are there no decent people where you work? Not everyone I work with is Christian, but many are nice. No, I wouldn't hang out with them outside of work, but there is a sense of companionship among us which does help me.

I agree, definitely bathe this decision in prayer. God will guide you, even if you don't realize it when its happening.

God bless :)

I moved from the mid west to the east coast and the difference is very noticeable. I work in northern New Jersey and lived there for a year and hated it. Too much traffic, too expensive, too many angry people!

Now I'm farther away from the city in western Orange County NY. It's a much better area, IMO, but that's because I don't like big cities. My commute is longer but its worth it.

I like nature and a strong Christian presence.

Unfortunately, NYC is not it.

The others are right. You have to get involved. One of the first things I did was join a small group in my church. Do that and look for opportunities for serve in a ministry. Those are some good ways to meet people.

It's 28 degrees right now in NY. If you have a place you are considering moving to in Florida, I'm certinally not going to talk you out of it! :biggrin

Thanks Faithtransforms Thanks Armor :lol You were on point.

Well, I have prayed. Just need to be patient now.

We have to depend on God's grace, not on our own human wisdom. 2 Corinthians 1:12

Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life. Ecclesiastes 7:14

I create the light and make the darkness. I send good times and bad times. I, the Lord, am the one who does these things. Isaiah 45:7

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
