There are many players in these forums.

Ever think to not respond to a certain thread sort of discerning you are being set up to make sport of you? Most times you see man's reasoning involved in their use of scripture; hath God said?

Nehemiah 6:2 That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief.

A dear friend of mine remarked that when Nehemiah received that invitation to meet in the plain of Ono, he probably said Oh No. We don't have to enter every battle presented us, and sometimes as Shakespear wrote: The better part of valour is discretion; in the which better part I have saved my life.

Amen, Brother. :lol :oops2
I'm totally guilty of not bridleing my tongue, but am learning to. Think twice post once is what I try to do. Some days are better than others, lol.

There is a lot of good and Godly data that can be derived from temple studies.

The temple that came out of captivity is one of the finer lessons of the Gospel. It was more glorious in Gods Eyes than the prior temple of the rich man. They were called the children of the captivity. It was this temple, that Jesus eventually came into. There is our Gospel, externally shown, but an internal reality.

Jesus comes to the temples of captivity. To those who have been captured, in their flesh temples. by sin.

Haggai 2:9
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

Paul saw the identical matter, here:

Romans 7:23
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

It is in THIS PLACE, that Jesus sets HIS PEACE.

Pick your battles wisely :chair, but respect reba's :rollingpin.
All joking aside not every topic is for everyone and we do need to learn discretion so we do not be tempted to give place to Satan by what comes out of our mouth.
James 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

.

True, I would that I were perfect but my vanity often catches me.

Believe it or not (lol), I'm getting a lot better than I used to be. I grew up with a big BIG mouth, and was adept at playing the dozens...and arrogant??! Oh man was I arrogant. Not a humble bone in my body.

I knew I was right and would staple it to your forehead to make sure you understood it...
:angry3

It was quite a challenge to accept that I don't know it all...lol

:couch

Edward,
I made you for a white boy but I'm I'm the only white boy I know that could run the Dozens out. We had a riot in those days and these kids missed so much. And the best and the worst times were marches in the deep south.
:yes

Yes, Eugene, it is evident to me when someone is purposely provoking a confrontation.

I'm so irritated and provoked by a particular doctrine that keeps popping up out of nowhere in unrelated threads that I'm searching for the 'ignore' feature now. I've had enough of the provocation. But of course, it's not the person's fault. It's the devil's fault. :rolleyes

26Let us not become conceited, provoking...each other." (Galatians 5:26 NIV)

Oh wait....by posting the above scripture that makes it worse in the person doing that, so it's said, right? O'vey! What can a person do?
