ONLY ONE GOD THE FATHER-ONLY ONE Lord JESUS CHRIST

THE FATHER IS GOD-JESUS IS Lord(Not LORD)

JESUS IS NOT GOD

II Jn 1:3

3Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

John 17:3

3"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

1 Cor 8:5-7

5For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),

6yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

7However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

Acts 17:24-25

24"God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.

25"Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.

Eph 1:3

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

John 4:23-24

23"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

24"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

1 Pet 4:19

19Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

1 Cor 11:27

27Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

Eph 4:4-6

4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;

5one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

6one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Eph 4:7

7But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.

I Jn 2:4

4He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

I Jn 2:3

3Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

I Jn 3:19

19And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

I Jn 3:22-24

22And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

23And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

24Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

I Jn 4:2-3

2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

I Jn 4:12-15

12No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

13By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

15Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

I Jn 5:20

20And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

I Jn 5:12-13

12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

13These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Col 1:15-16

15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

16For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Rom 1:20

20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

1 Tim 1:17

17Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

II Jn 1:8-11

8Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.

9Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;

11for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

Rev 22:18-19

18For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;

19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Matt 11:27

27"All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

John 14:28

28"You have heard Me say to you, 'I am going away and coming back to you.' If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, 'I am going to the Father,' for My Father is greater than I.

John 20:17

17Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'"

1 Cor 8:6-7

6yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

7However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

[Eph 4:4-6

4 [There is] one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.

xxx Jesus is very specific about revealing who God really is. And if you dont know who Jesus really is, how will you ever find out who God the Father really is? To confess means to agree fully. So to confess that Jesus came in the flesh, and that Jesus is the Son of God. One has to question those that say God came in the flesh, and Jesus is God. Because they do not agree fully that it was Jesus instead of God. Now God was manifested(made known) to us by Jesus that God was with Him. But Jesus also made known to us that God left Jesus on the cross to die alone. There is only One God the Father. Jesus was created by God the Father. Jesus was created a man, after Jesus proved Himself to God in obedience. God gave Jesus a ministry and a title of Lord(Not LORD) over earth. Then after Jesus was resurrected God the Father gave Jesus a new title at His second coming with the authority of a God. Because Jesus purchased us from the law of sin and death(old testament).

xxJesus said He was a son of man, and God was never a man, nor a son of man.

Num 23:19

19"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Matt 8:20

20And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."

Matt 9:6

6"But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"-- then He said to the paralytic, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."

JESUS IS Lord

1 Cor 12:3

3Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

Phil 2:11

11and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

I Jn 4:3

3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

II Jn 1:7

7For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

(NKJ)

xxxLord and God are the highest spiritual titles of authority. The Father held both titles in the old testament. In the old testament God held the title of LORD God. In the new testament God turned over the title of Lord(not LORD) to Jesus. God is the highest spiritual title of authority over the universe. Lord is the highest spiritual title of authority over the earth.

1 Cor 3:23

23And you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.

Eph 1:17

17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

GO TO GOD THE FATHER IS THE CREATOR

I would consider the above a formal fallacy as it does not address the nature of the Trinity.

I said
That would be hard to do if one is going to share the truth with others. There are specific rules in scripture about how to believe. Not to think beyond what is written, and not to add one thing to the verses or take one thing away from the verses. And trinity isn't even written in scripture.

[1Co 4:6
6 Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.

[Rev 22:18-19
18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.

The first step in discussing the Trinity is to address the Deity of God the Son.

However we already have a thread on that. Perhaps you will respond there.

Great Bible passages. However, don't know how this helps your argument other than appealing to your own authority to solely interpret the Bible.

It is hare to discuss the deity of Jesus without discussing the deity of satan.
Deity-Divinity

I have seen these words used in so many different context, that I had to go to the library and look in the big dictionary. To try to find out why these people are using it the way they are. It amazed me. The carnal language is dangerous because it is satans play ground. Satan can use the carnal mind, change a few words, exaggerate anything there. But the spiritual mind which is only verses, he has no power. He can only try with a piece of a verse, and this is why I tell everybody. If you ever get a piece of a verse, go look it up for verification. But he(satan) will not use a whole verse because that is glorifiing Christ. And satan is anti-christ. Now when I speak of verses I'm speaking of new testament verses, because we know that he(satan) quotes old testament verses. And yes the Holy Spirit quotes old testament verses to. But Christ is the new testament. Anyway check out these deffinitions from the big dictionary at the library.

deity 1 a: often cap : divine nature or rank: the essintial nature of a god or of a supreme being: DIVINITY

di-vin-i-ty 1:the quality or state of being divine: nature or essence of God: GODHEAD (the divinity of Jesus) a celestial being inferior to the supreme God but superior to man<one of the subservient divinities>

Now it doesnt say that Jesus is God, what it says is He is second in command, it says Jesus is inferior to the supreme God but over every other creature in heaven and on earth.

I got my deffinitions from websters new world dictionary copyright 1993

Col 2-9

I think your totally missing what that one verse was saying. It was talking about the fullness of God working through Jesus. Has nothing to do with the deity of Jesus.

Col 2:8-9

8Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

9For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

2 Cor 5:19

Stricked Rules Of Believing

Trinity is NOT in the Word of God. Deity is NOT in the Word of God. God the Son is NOT in the Word of God. God the Holy Spirit is NOT in the Word of God. What is in the Word of God is. Dont think beyond what is written, Dont add one thing to it or take one thing away from it.

John 12:48-50

48"He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him-- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

49"For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.

50"And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak."

AND THE DEITY OF SATAN

xxxThe devil is a deity.

4567 Satanas (sat-an-as');

of Aramaic origin corresponding to 4566 (with the definite affix); the accuser, i.e. the devil:

KJV-- Satan.

1140 daimonion (dahee-mon'-ee-on);

KJV-- devil, god.

The only three in one trinity god in the bible is the dragon, devil, satan.

of uncertain affinity; a deity, especially (with 3588) the supreme Divinity; figuratively, a magistrate; by Hebraism, very:

KJV-- X exceeding, God, god [-ly, -ward].

2 Cor 11:14-15

14And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

II Th 2:4

4who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

xxx There is only one three in one god in the whole bible. Satan is useing the trinity to mock the living God.

I'm hoping you are new to posting in forums and don't yet know the etiquette involved. Typing in all capital letters indicates you are screaming at your audience.

That's a lot of vocals just to be wrong. Jesus was God. He was indwelt with that holy spirit when he was Baptized by John in the Jordan. He was begat upon Mary by the holy spirit so as not to be delivered into this world the usual human way and thus be able to become a sinner when of age to be accountable.
Jesus was divine human and divine God. He delivered the new covenant as promised in the old and in the form of a man because God said in the old testament, no one may look upon the face of God and live. Exodus 33.

However, the son of man and the son of God would make that possible.

That is why the elders in the temple became enraged when while ministering in Capernaum said, the son of man is able to forgive sins. (Mark 1) And in rebuttal to those elders, the Sadducee who were aware of the scriptures and the laws of God, accused Jesus for forgiving sins publicly before them as they claimed, because they charged that only God can forgive sins.
Jesus' rebuttal was , the son of man is able to forgive sins. Meaning, God was forgiving sins because he was with them in Jesus.
If you don't know the basics you can't find the truth.

Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us"(Matthew 1:23)

You already made this argument from the English dictionary.

The Koine Greek gives no misunderstanding of the Deity of Jesus Christ:

There is a distinction in the Greek. In Colossians 2:9 the theotes is clearly Deity and not divine. And notice Paul is speaking of Jesus:

Colossians 2: NASB
8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. 9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;

theotēs: θεότης

deity
the state of being God, Godhead
G2330

Fullness of Deity...How much more "full" does God the Son, The LOGOS, The Son of God need to be?

It is hare to discuss the deity of Jesus without discussing the deity of satan.
No, Satan is not a deity of Jesus.
At this point I wonder if as the resident newbie you're actually a disciple of Vexen Crabtree. A Satanist that loves to pluck the emotional strings of Christians from time to time.

I would consider the above a formal fallacy as it does not address the nature of the Trinity.

The OP is also a formal HERESY. The very first one, in fact; Arianism. If anyone is confused on this point, please look it up.
LOTS of perfectly good online sources tell you all you need to know about this.

In sympathy with the OP, God the Father is not God the Son. God the Son is not a created Being, but is eternal, and Maker of all that is, seen and unseen.

I didn't know that. The etiquette. Jesus was very specific when He said the Father is the only true God. And He was saying to the Father.

[Jhn 17:1-3
1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You,
2 "as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.

By saying "deity isn't even in the Bible," you completely avoided addressing what was said, making it appear as though you didn't even read what you quoted. Pegasus' post you quoted shows, right from Strong's Concordance, that the Greek word the KJV renders as "Godhead," (a word not at all common in today's English) can be equally translated as Deity, or the state of being God.

10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;

11for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

Rev 22:18-19

18For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;

Matt 9:6

now already in the world.

II Jn 1:7

7For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Eph 1:17

GO TO GOD THE FATHER IS THE CREATOR

Jesus is the Lord, YHWH, the creator of heaven and earth, and is God’s Son, the only begotten of the Father.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Colossians 1:15-16

  • For by Him all things were created

again

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
John 1:1-3

  • All things were made through Him

JLB

By saying "deity isn't even in the Bible," you completely avoided addressing what was said, making it appear as though you didn't even read what you quoted. Pegasus' post you quoted shows, right from Strong's Concordance, that the Greek word the KJV renders as "Godhead," (a word not at all common in today's English) can be equally translated as Deity, or the state of being God.

I said
I can only share what Jesus told me in one of His revelations.

GODHEAD OR HEAD GOD

Rom 1:20-22

20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

21because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

22Professing to be wise, they became fools,

Col 2:8-9

8Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

9For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

John 10:34-38

34Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods" '?

35"If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),

36"do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?

37"If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;

38"but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him."

Acts 7:38-40

38"This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, the one who received the living oracles to give to us,

39"whom our fathers would not obey, but rejected. And in their hearts they turned back to Egypt,

40"saying to Aaron, 'Make us gods to go before us; as for this Moses who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.'

Acts 17:18-25

18Then certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, "What does this babbler want to say?" Others said, "He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods," because he preached to them Jesus and the resurrection.

19And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, "May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak?

20"For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean."

21For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing.

22Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, "Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious;

23"for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:

24"God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.

25"Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.

1 Cor 8:5-6

5For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),

6yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

(NKJ)

XXX From the beginning the people had many gods, but for Christians there is One that is Head God. That is the Father of Jesus Christ and Creator of heaven and earth and all things. And the fullness of God the Father dwells in Jesus the Son of God. So we listen and obey all that the Son-Jesus tells us about His God and our God, His Father and our Father. To be in the Godhead is to be in total agreement with God the Father. And we only have evidence of two that are in that Godhead, that is Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit. Another good point that I seen was that Jesus was not in the Godhead, but that the Godhead was in Jesus.

1 Cor 11:3

3But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

1 Cor 6:17

17But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

John 12:48-49

48"He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him-- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

49"For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.

(NKJ)

John 14:26

26"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

I Jn 5:7-8

7For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

8And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

(NKJ)

xxx There are only two others that only speak Gods Word Jesus and the Holy Spirit. One God the Father and two subservients Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

The Godhead is not a trinity. The only trinity in the whole bible is here.

Rev 12:9

9So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

So in Isaiah 9:6, who is the child that gets to be called Everlasting Father and Mighty God?

I said
Isa 9-6

I seen Billy Grahames son preach on this.

He gave a good understanding. Like it says the government will be upon His shoulders. That hasnt happened yet.

Upon His government and peace there will be no end. That hasnt happened yet.

And over His kingdom. He hasnt got a kingdom yet.

This is a prophesy of Jesus Christs second coming. Which hasnt happened yet.

Isa 9:6-7

6For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Dont forget about the old testament

2 Cor 3:13-15

13unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away.

14But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.

15But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.

I just pointed out to you that Deity is in the Bible. In the Koine it is theotes as shown in Colossians 2:9.

I said
That is where we differ. I don't see deity in there. I see a misinterpretation.
