lol. believe or it not, we may be government employees but tom expects one to work hard and be efficient. it takes time to find those that can handle the elements and move and also be accurate in their reads. it rained 8" last Thursday and I didn't stop in that. read it while wet. im glad I had a spare uniform in the truck. tomorrow will be cool and Thursday the high will be only 56.

army training, such as similar to what air described about sleeping in snow etc.

I thought I was bad, oh I get cold but I remember with that its if I move its colder, the truck has heat.

I am quite thankful for the heater in my car. (I rarely use the air conditioner on my car, even in 90+ degree temps with high humidity)

You are probably quite thankful you live & do your job in the Midwest, where temps can stay below zero for days at a time

yes, but my kind are dinosaurs, in those other areas if they have smart meters for gas, water and electric we simply aren't of use. the meter repair shop wont go away. digital meters hate the heat here and die often.

add that my unit and all guard and possibly army wont be paid or rathered delayed. im not hit that hard, I haven't drilled in two months so I haven't depended on that income but others are.

the battalion that drilled this last weekend is the 1254th trans. all of us are in this boat and maybe all of florida. drills aren't always the same for all units everywhere

I was surprised when I got told of this. I was paid in a timely manner last nov when I drilled.

Really. I didn't realize the smart meters were so fragile, though I suppose it makes sense. I installed quite a few of them for the city before they realized it would be cheaper to do it in-house. They also emit quite a bit of radiation from what I have read.

I got paid. it wasn't delayed but about when I thought it would have occurred.

two young women are arguing on fb. its rather hateful. I wont post what was said. its sad when family do that.

So many in this world today are hurting. I agree...it is sad when families go after each other in angry, hurtful ways.
