We all know that Jesus is coming again. Many have fun trying to work out when. That is not what this post is about.

The Day of the Lord. When the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised and we shall be changed. ( sorry quoting the Mesiah.)

Now this is what I'm asking. We who are alive when Jesus returnes will be changed.
Here is my question.

How long will that take?

If you are not a yec and believe God took millions of years to create and discribed this period as 6 days, how many years is an instant?
Whay difference is there between creation and being changed?

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Blink your eyes as that is as fast Christ will come and we are then changed as we are caught up to Him on the last day. He sends His angels out to the four corners of the earth to gather those who are His own that are still alive at His coming and those who are asleep in their graves. When does this occur? Immediately after the tribulations of those days being God's great wrath that is poured out into the world, Matthew 24:29-31, Rev 19:11-21. Also remember, no one knows the day or the hour of Christ return, but it will be like in the days of Noah when the flood came, Matthew 24:36, 37.

One who ignores the God-sent Revelation
will not understand our end of era scenario

and
will end up weak and confused and vulnerable
to taking the "mark," worshiping the Beast
and
thus greatly increase their odds of ending up in the lake of fire forever.

Revelation 13->forward reveals soul saving blessing conveying
information about our end of era scenario found nowhere else.

Jesus and Paul plainly described the end time for us.

If you can’t understand the plain words written to the Church and for the Church, then don’t expect to understand the book of Revelation.

It's not an end of era scenario, but the total annihilation of this present earth and heaven and all evil within it that God will destroy in the end of days. There is no pretrib rapture, no second chances when Christ returns for then the door of God's salvation is closed forever.

Those who are still alive at His coming and those before us who sleep in their graves that are God's own by faith through His grace and have endured all trials and tribulations will at that time of Christ's return in the air be caught up together with Him. This all takes place on the last day as Christ makes an end to all abominations casting the beast and the false prophet (son of perdition) into the lake of fire. Then final judgement comes as the sheep have been placed at the right hand of Jesus and the goats are thrown into the lake of fire. God then renews the heaven and earth ushering down the New Jerusalem where we will ever more be with the Lord.

You really need to get out of that website and start reading the Bible for what has already been written as you are following the enticing doctrines of devils. I know for I once followed them, but God opened my eyes to their false teachings.

Matthew 23:36
Truly I say to you, all these things will come on this generation.
Matthew 24:34
Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

So here we are 2000 years after Jesus said the above.

And would you believe there are "christians" who think all that Jesus said would happen is still yet to come.

OUR soon to come end of era scenario is revealed in the Revelation
God authored and sent to Jesus's servants.

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to show to His servants things which must soon take place. He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bears record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it, for the time is near."
Rev 1:1-3

Most all Bible scholars agree the Revelation was promulgated
after the temple was destroyed and ancient Israel was dispersed.

Satan seeks to persuade all to ignore and denigrate God's Revelation.

Jesus was speaking to that generation of His days here on earth as many things He said had already come to pass, but yet continues to wax worse throughout all the generations to come until the day Christ returns and makes an end to all abominations casting them into the lake of fire, Matthew 24:1-31; Rev 19:11-21. These things Jesus has told us about are the things we need to endure until Christ returns on the last day, John 5:28, 29; John 6:40.

Christ only returns once and that is on the last day when He will send His angels out to the four corners of the earth to gather His own, those alive at His coming and those who sleep in the graves, as we are caught up to meet Him in the air, not in heaven, John 3:13; Matthew 24:29-31; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18;

Revelation was given to John in visions as prophecies that had their beginnings in the Old Testament, being fulfilled in the New Testament and yet much to be fulfilled in future events before the great and terrible day of the Lords return.

Revelations is given to all nations and tongues that live throughout the whole world as in Jew and Gentile. Israel is mainly mentioned, but not all of Israel is Gods chosen people. Those who are washed in the blood of the Lamb are joined as a branch with Israel as God is the root of that branch and those who are sealed by His Holy Spirit are His own who find favor in Him, Romans 11:11-31. This is why our attention needs to be on those things that are happening in Israel especially Jerusalem as being Gods Holy City where the son of perdition will take a literal seat right on the very Temple Mount that the Doom of the Rock sits on and being refurbished for this beast and his 3 1/2 year reign.

Revelation 19 reveals Christ return, and His return is NOT as you state above.
Christ is NOT coming back FOR His Church.
Christ is coming back WITH HIS Church.

Your great error (and that of scads like you)
(which will cause you to be weak, confused and vulnerable when the Beast shows up)

is that you adamantly refuse to understand that Paul and Jesus (speaking as per Matt) were writing and talking about the end time of ancient Israel. NOT about our end of era scenario which is revealed in the Revelation.

Good another yec Christian.
If a twinkling of an eye is instant then the 6 days of creation are equally 6 days.

Please refrain from telling others they error just because you do not agree with what they believe, that's just rude and brings no glory to God. I have asked you several times to give the scriptures that say anything of a pretrib rapture, but you refuse to answer me. Why do you refuse? :shrug

You say Jesus returns with the saints in Rev 19:11-21, but yet say we are still here during the 3 1/2 year reign of the beast that happens before Christ returns so how do you explain this.

I do believe that when Christ returns He returns with His army of angels which are in heaven with Him, Rev 19:14. According to John 3:13 no one that has ever died has ascended up to heaven.

At this one and only time of Christ return is after those that have taken the mark of the beast and the vial judgements of God's great wrath are poured out on those who have taken the mark of the beast as described in Rev 15 and poured out in Rev 16.

Rev 17 and 18 describes mystery Babylon being the great mother of harlots and her destruction. Rev 19:11-21 Christ returns with His army of angels in heaven and destroys the beast and false prophet as He consumes them with the spirit of his mouth, and destroys them by the brightness of his coming, 2 Thessalonians 2:8, casting them into the lake of fire.

It is only after the tribulation of God's fierce wrath and the reign of the beast that Christ will return and then as we read in Matthew 24:29-31 will send His angels out to gather all who are His own that are alive and in their graves as we are then caught up together in the clouds to meet Him in the air where we are ever with the Lord, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

We are caught up to Christ in the air on the last day after the vial judgements are poured out on those who reject Christ as being the last part of God's great wrath. Then Jesus returns in the air as we are gathered to Him at that time as He destroys the beast and the false prophet, binding Satan for a time and then destroying him casting Satan into the lake of Fire.

You'd be wise to pay attention to Revelation 19.

Many are wrong about the near future scenario because they think Paul is writing about our end of era scenario and he is not. The Revelation does.

Have a nice day. JP

Strangly it says nothing about us being aware of the second coming.
Matt 24:37-39 does say that people will not be aware and will be taken by surprise .

Many Christians will be among them fed up by all the cries of 'wolf, wolf!'

Revelations is crossed referenced through out the OT and NT as what the Prophets prophesied of coming events in the latter days, what Jesus taught in what we are to watch for and what Jesus gave to John in the revelations of his time and the latter times of end of days. Revelation is not a secluded book in the NT.

And how long will it take?

If a day in genesis equals millions of years, how many years does an instant equal?
