Gross exaggeration? Jesus Is the living Word of God..

I agree with this Turnorburn.
In the NASB there are little stars next to verses in the O.T. that pertain to the Messiah.
Psalm 22, for instance, has many of them.

Psalm 23 has none.
But I still see Jesus on every line, let alone the whole page.

What i came to understand is the Word of God is connected ... It is not a stack of readers digests bundled together... It is more then just His words

God is spirit. We can know Him in spirit.
Having created knowledge, He is also knowledge. There's much to know ABOUT Him, as is evidenced by posters who know their bible and doctrine well.

But it is also important to KNOW HIM. This must be spiritual since the natural man cannot understand spiritual truths. 1 Corinthians 2:14

Verse 16 even says we have the mind of Christ. That means we could think as He does. What a concept!

Once we know the Lord, we can see Him, His work and His effects, everywhere.
(not only in the bible).

The book that our Lord wrote never fails to continue to amaze me. When I said that Jesus is on every page of the OT, may have been over-stated a bit, but in no way is a gross exaggeration.

That types and shadows are in the OT is a big thing, and serves to bring validity and glory to God. The amount of genius that is demonstrated in (the Word) in so many ways is..awe inspiring. Prophecies, codes, types & shadows, hidden messages, and all sorts of stuff, another straw of truth on the camels back...it just screams, I AM here, I AM real...

I appreciate your going to these specifics and they lend weight to your argument. But you did say in the OP, 'Jesus is on almost (if not all) every page of the OT'. That is a gross exaggeration - hyperbole.

Gross exaggeration or hyperbole is a literary device used millions of times in the bible to make a point. On the other hand, if the OT was written on scrolls, then there really aren't that many individual pages to speak of.

It's true.
I'm amazed at how all the writings in the Bible are so consistent and don't contradict each other despite them being written at different times by different people. It has withstood everything fallen man has tossed at it.
