A: Sounds good. Is there a version with lyrics?

Blessings.

It has lyrics.. Or are you asking does it have a version where you're able to read them? If the latter I have not found a video with one, but here are the lyrics

This starts @ 2:23 in the song

The fruit from the tree was so
pleasing to my eye. The serpent
said that I would not die.

The serpent shall be cursed, he
will crawl about and eat dust.
I will put enmity between the
woman and you. Man will crush
your head, you will strike his heel.

The wisdom of the world will be
mine if I eat. What can it hurt
if I take it and eat?

I will greatly increase the woman's
pain, when bearing children all of
your days. You will desire man.
He will rule over you.

Take some, man. Gain wisdom, too.
Eat from the tree.
It's what you must do.

The land will be cursed because of man.
Producing thorns to make him bleed.
By your sweat you will live until death.
Dust you are and to dust you will return.

Gen. 3:1

A: Great! :)

Thanks a lot!

Blessings.

Just listened again to Disciple's Battle Lines. Outstandingly good Christian hard rock, the lyrics of which leave no room for doubt about its clear testimony.

Mood Ring, by Relient K

Even though I'm a girl, I find this song hilarious. xD

Sadie Hawkin's Dance, by Relient K

A conversation in another thread made me want to re-listen to some of my favorite Relient K songs.

Deathbed, by Relient K

Another one. xD
Anyway, this is much more serious than the last two songs...kind of a ballad, I guess.

Another one I might check out tomorrow. I did just listen to the last one; like you say, this one is probably more serious.

Blessings.

When these lyrics came up, it was like someone started peeling an onion or something:
You cried wolf
The tears they soaked your fur
The blood dripped from your fangs
You said, "What have I done?"
You loved that lamb
With every sinful bone
And there you wept alone
Your heart was so contrite

You said, "Jesus, please forgive me of my crimes
Sanctify this withered heart of mine
Stay with me until my life is through
And on that day please take me home with you"

questdriven:

Yes, Relient K is not bad, especially in some of the lyrics. I think also that some tracks and bands obvious may have some personal memories for some people that they would not necessarily have for others.

I do think that for sheer quality hard rock, and bold and Biblical lyrics, Disciple does excel.

Blessings.

Friday night is coming so you're saving all your money
Cause you need to buy some buds and some beer
You won't be doin nothing cause you spent up all your money
So you smoke until you choke and drink your beer all alone

You drank up all your beer and you're feeling fine
You look up at the clock, it's only quarter till nine
So you woof a bunch of munchies cause there's nothing to do
But when you find they don't mix, you're chunkin' mulligans stew

Now you're moving up
Smoking major league base balls
Your price is getting higher each hit
The night keeps getting longer, a couple hits will make you stronger
So ya smoke another 8-ball and get deeper in debt

You've got this young blonde
Who's as thin as a dime
She's inhaling all your blow and leaving nothing behind
As your debt keeps coming with the rising sun
When you look for what you want you know that she'll be gone
(You got it)

Jesus Christ is coming
So we've got to get ready
For broad is the road to death
Jesus hasn't come to call the righteous (but the sinners)
For all have fallen short of the glory of God

Who was this song by, again?

(Wasn't sure who you were referring to.)

questdriven:

Oh okay, thanks.

Relient K, Disciple, Red, and Skillet are kind of more or less equal favorites with you, then, I suppose? all somewhat similar, with the frequent hard rock style that to some extent has come to define you, I guess.

Blessings.

While Relient K doesn't normally come to mind when I think of my favorite bands, I think they at the very least come pretty close. There are times when I just want to sit back and listen to their songs over and over.

Well, okay.

I guess Disciple, Red, and Skillet would be about level for you, would they?

(For me, I think Disciple (or what I've heard of them) is ahead, for sheer quality hard rock significantly combined with clear, Biblical lyrics.)

Blessings.

While I was thinking of it, I went ahead and looked up a Relient K stamp on dA and added it to my list of music stamps displayed on my page.

Yeah, about the same. Might change a bit depending on what I'm in the mood for.

I guess they would all collectively have turned you into a hard rock woman - or revealed you to youself as such - as their music and your mood have successfully gripped each other.

But anyway, I do think the more clear Biblical lyrics that I've heard among them are from Disciple, personally. (Makes some sense?)

Blessings.
