Will we always be maturing in eternity?

This is a question I often consider. I believe that when we get there, Heaven, that our relationship with the Lord is exactly as we left it on earth. If it was good, and we were walking with the Lord here, we will take off from there. If it wasn't, and we were not walking with the Lord, and were very much caught up in the world, then it too will take off from there.

And surely, we will continue to grow and mature in our spiritual walk. Don't you think? Or are we forever the maturity we were when we left this world for Heaven?

It's a fun question to ponder upon.

Here are my theories:

1. When we pass away and go to Heaven, we will be granted all sorts of knowledge and wisdom. Things we didn't understand on Earth about spiritual matters, we may very well understand in Heaven as we are constantly in the presence of the Lord.

2. We will have so many questions and grow in a sense by asking and gaining more understanding. Perhaps there is a way we could grow spiritually each day.

The Word says all will be made known. My question is, will kids/babies who die remain kids/babies in the Kingdom and will it be our job to raise them up into spiritual maturity. When Jesus said the Kingdom was made up of such as these..........

I know we will know as we are known. Whether that means we will know all things, I am doubtful. I am doubtful that we will ever know all things, but we will always be learning. Just my opinion.

I have thought on the age and maturity of children who die and go to Heaven. One thing that weighs heavy with me against children remaining children, is that we never expect someone who is 90 years old to look like they are 90 in Heaven. That doesn't mean children won't be children, but it is something to consider.

I am quite willing to say that any parent who has lost a child, wants that child to be the age they were when they died. Because that is how they want to see them again. But I just don't know.

I think somewhat similar. Our understanding of what we know will be greater because we are there and no longer limited with a sinful nature and body. It seems we must always be learning as it seems eternity would be boring if we knew everything at the beginning. And I know Heaven will not be boring.

I think we will grow spiritually...forever. That is hard to comprehend but so is eternity. And, so is God, I believe. I mean I don't think we will ever know everything about God. I think we will always be learning about Him. My opinion.

I've heard a lot of blurbs from many different people's testimonies over time which relate to your ponderings and here is the picture that it painted for me. Take it for what you will.

That babies and youngsters who pass away continue to grow, learn and be raised in heaven. I've heard there are even nurseries there. People continue to grow and mature into prime adulthood (most estimate late 20's to early 30's) and then they stop aging and remain in their prime. The elderly (on earth) who pass look in their prime again also.

There. I'm'a not being dogmatic. I've no personal experience with being taken up. So who knows how accurate I am. It kind of makes all sorts of sense to me. But that could be a red flag too, lol.

I liked me when I was in my prime. Looking forward to it.

I think we will be learning forever too and that is so exciting. Always something new to learn.
Perhaps we will all learn the same things at the same time or maybe different things to share with each other. Maybe God has a definite plan for each person. Whatever it is we will all be happy .

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

We know flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God and it is not this fleshly body that will be resurrected, but given a spiritual body as no one knows what that will look like, except we will be like Christ. Age wise I feel has no place in the New Jerusalem as we are sown a natural body, but raised with a spiritual body will all, babies, young and old being seen differently then what we see in this human body. 1 Corinthians 15:35-58.

Just to add, I saw a story about a family caught in their car while escaping wild fires in California. Flames were everywhere. The driver stopped and they agreed to make a run for it on foot. A young woman stayed in the car alone. She was frozen with fear. The family ran to a clearing a short distance away. They looked back and yelled for her to get out of the car and come to them. She just sat there. As the flames engulfed the car, they all saw someone in the car with her sitting right next to her. She perished in the flames. Only her remains were found.
A more relatable story in line with the thread. A doctor said he had a near death experience. He entered a spiritual realm where he caught a ride on a giant butterfly or moth. A young woman was riding it. She said to him "Don't worry. You can't sin here." She knew his name and told him hers. The other doctors revived him. He later told his mother the story. She was relieved yet surprised. She told him she had miscarried before he was born and had named the child the same name the butterfly lady had introduced herself as. He is convinced he met his sister.

I believe that when we're with God, we will return
To the status we had in the Garden...if not better.
That would include infused knowledge.

So my answer would be No, because we will be complete in all ways.
