Kitten Dilemma

Angel

Member
There are two kittens that want us to adopt them. They are hanging out our front door meowing and meowing. I first saw them this afternoon around 1, and they ran in the apartment. Thankfully we caught them and put them back outside. I got home around 3 or 4, and they were still there. We had to kick them back on the porch, and then this evening Matt left and the kittens followed him all the way to the end of the apartment complex... I would take them but we have star, and they could have diseases, and mostly because I'm really allergic to cats!!! I called the apartment maintenance and they said that can't do anything about them, and then I called animal control and they said they don't take stray cats. So... If they are still there tomorrow morning Matt's parents will help us figure out what to do. Could anyone say a little prayer that they find a home... or wander somewhere else to someone who can help them? I don't have the money or a car to take them anywhere. Thanks... <3

animal control says what? you have animals that might have illness an they wont respond?

I called, and they were closed, but they said in a answering machine whatever that they don't take stray cats. I think I'm going to call again tomorrow... I'm just a little afraid they will put the kittens to sleep...

Actually I was thinking of the book 101ways to kill a cat.
And it's sequel: 101 uses for a dead cat

Both are available in paperback:study

You call that Christian advice? If there is anything that grieves me more than the ill treatment of humans, it is the cruel treatment of animals. It is not possible to be a born again believer with that kind of spirit. I'm surprised the staff let that be posted? I will have trouble sleeping, thinking how any christian could be so crass about God's creatures. Really, I don't understand it.

It's a joke. Facetious humor. Nothing to lose sleep over.

It was not funny. There are laws in all states and Canada against poisoning animals. I'm glad it was a joke, but the Lord is displeased with those who make light of a serious subject.
Proverbs 26:18-19 ESV
Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death is the man who deceives his neighbor and says, “I am only joking!”

This is not to you, this is to everyone of us. Joking in itself is not the issue here. The issue is that born again believers represent, (singularly and corporately) The Christ and are a temple of His being. I myself have said things without thinking, that the Spirit has chastised me for. Gal. 5: 16-17. In the beginning, our first interaction and companions were the animals. Anyone out there who has had a life long pet, knows the interaction of loyalty from them. Sad to say, but our pets are more loving and loyal than some men. And I do lose sleep when man or animal is abused. Abuse and death are intruders in this world. But one day those words will not have a place in the Dictionary.......They won't exist. (Rev. 20:13-21:1)

Good lord, over react much.yet we posters here that literally suggest nuking the middle east.I should post my training on how a cloud of alpha and beta radiation will move along hitting other areas.isreal would be hit,Christians themselves will be killed.not one peep.I joke about that.in war you better have some humour.we shot dogs as we didn't have the means to put to sleep and they were diseased or suffering.we had a person who designated to perform that job.don't think they won't be animals suffering in war?

Oh, for cryin' out loud, millions of helpless animals were killed all through the OT, just to satisfy our "Religion."

Some people are cat people, some are dog people.

I'm a dog person and definitely not a cat person.

Dogs and cats don't (generally speaking and not specifically) get along well.

Two different animals that have vastly different functions and services.

DEATH TO CATS!!!

You have a good heart Angel. If the cats stick around, maybe try to at retire free kittens or something on crashing craigslist. That's how my family got our first dog when I was growing up. (Though We didn't have Craigslist back then.
