Week of Thanksgiving

I'm thankful we were able to get our son treated for a massive H-Pylori infection and have stabilized the weight loss. Thankful we three are now on the same page to aim toward getting the medical procedure to alleviate the massive esophogal scarring he incurred. We plan to get him to New Zealand within 6mos.

I am thankful that we have a Father in heaven who we can pray to. That we can lift up our prayers to him.
I'm thankful that our Father wants us to lift up our prayers, be open and honest.

So Heavenly Father we lift this family up to you. We pray for the medical staff treating their son. We pray for wisdom for their treatment and medication and the medical procedure required.

Thank you for such medical staff and their knowledge and skills.

I would like to pray for total healing, a miracle.
Also we pray that daninthelionsden and his wife will their son in NZ within 6 months. We pray for provision for the flights and any other expenses that are needed.

We pray for peace, a peace that only you can give when all seems bleak.

We thank you that Jesus is interceding for us and that through him we have access to you.

We ask this in Jesus name.

I'm thankful that in this day and age and technology that we can share and offer up prayers for each other.

I agree with that, and amen. I'm thankful that our Lord is long-suffering. :wink

Today I am thankful for my wife. She is an amazing woman of God...she is my "Help-Mate" in every sense of the word.

I do know what I would do without her but it just wouldn't be as fun nor as much. Together we are more than the sum of our parts.

Thank you so very much.

I'm thankful that the Lord makes all things for good, inasmuch as I sit in poverty...I grow rich, in his Word.

Findlay...no I've never heard of it Jethro. What's up there? You? I'll come visit, lol

Today I am thankful for my son.
He is a great son. He is just about everything a parent could want in a child. He is frustrating at times but that's just me wanting to live his life for him...and I can't.
He is well mannered and intelligent and very level headed. (If only I could get him fired up)
He is doing well at college and at his job at the bank.

I am thankful for my wife.

When we got married my speech was along the following lines.

"I came from a broken home, was pushed from pillar to post, never knew my father. As a result I had no concept of real love, either giving it or receiving it, particularly receiving it. I prayed constantly for this mythical love (as I saw it) this love I sought is in 1 Corinthians 13 (I read that chapter). I found that love and today I am marrying that love, my beautiful wife"

Today her love for me is the same, if not better as it was 22 years ago.

Through her tangible outworking of love to me it has released me more and more into that perfect love God has for me.

For this I am also thankful.

We got 1/2 day on Friday (I'm thankful for that, lol) but I'm on call sat and sun, for which I'm also thankful because I need the money.
:)

I am thankful for the peace and tranquility I have here in this country. (All is not perfect) When I think of people who have to dodge bullets, and those who are living in filth and squalor. I thank God most of all for his Son Christ Jesus and also for the Word.
Each day as I study the bible I appreciate it more and more because the bible we have today did not come easy, there were lots of struggles and suffering in order for us to have access to it today.

On call? You must still be in the service tech biz.

Yes I am. I fix all kinds of HVAC equipment from furnaces & a/c's to commercial roof top units. But no chillers or big stuff like that, just light commercial.

I'm off for the next 4 1/2 days. Feeling pretty happy about that. I can practice being retired.

I should practice that. Maybe I'd get good at it. Yes, I think I would be good at it lol.
:sleep

Sleep is my drug of choice nowadays. My bed is my dealer, and my alarm clock is the police. :chair
