Why would reading to much of the Bible be a bad thing? This is why people fall away from truth as they follow the false doctrines of other false religions like Mormons, JW, Scientology and the list goes on and on that cause them to fall away from truth.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. 7 As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.
Ummm,.. yeah okay,.. I was not expecting that,.. but as I said before, living by the Word versus constantly reading it are two totally different things to me. I might not be reading any school book material anymore, but I still remember and follow a lot of what I was taught from them.

Even Solomon said that too much study isn't good.
Which is why I don't like overloading my brain. I find that a little bit of study each day works great for me.
You don't have to eat, sleep and breathe it 24/7, but if you really want truth you need to give time everyday in the Bible and also prayer as Christ has to come first before anything in our lives. Another point also is to have Him walking beside you 24/7 as God's Holy Spirit helps direct our paths.
Nobody is saying our nose has to be in the Bible 24/7, but that when playing certain video games and actually play acting the parts as some people go as far as they actually dress the part, these characters can become an idol to them as they want to be like them. Anything we put first in our life that doesn't allow God to be first in all we do and say can not be pleasing to the Father and only brings shame to ourselves.
To much studying at one time isn't good as you try to absorb so much that you end up forgetting much. With me I am in and out of it throughout the day and then the evening is when I like playing my games as that is my time to relax.
Umm excuse me, I have a best friend on here who's a cosplayer and she just likes dressing up as characters as a hobby and enjoyment. It doesn't come before her love of the Lord though. My point is that we can still enjoy the things that we want to enjoy in life and still be devoted Christians, and as much as I love Chopper as a brother in Christ, he was making it seem like even something as a simple game of chess was sinful.

So if I dress up like Satan or anything evil and role play that part it's only a hobby for my enjoyment? Why would I as a Spiritually born again child of God, baptized in the Holy Spirit want to pretend to be something that is evil. There is a big difference in these type of games as in just playing a game for fun or actually allowing yourself to take a part of being that character in reality.

Please don't take this the wrong way as there is nothing wrong with playing certain games, but many of these games has led many away from the Lord that lack knowledge because these games have become their idol. I believe we have to always be pleasing to the Lord in all we do and say.

Please don't make me lose another. She does NOT roleplay as Satan, she pretends that she's a character off this one TV show which is a whole LOT different than actually believing that she is.

I'm not insulting anyone and never said she role played as Satan or actually believed that she is that which she role plays. That was only an example to show how many do take these roles seriously and even try to be that of what they portray. If one is giving more time to playing games, which there is nothing wrong with that per-say, then they are in spending time with God throughout the day then that which they give the most time to can become an idol before God.
I cosplay. Well, I own one cosplay outfit of an anime character. I also cosplay as a dog.

Please show me where I need to apologize as I never mentioned your friend, but gave an example of how these role playing games can affect some people as they believe they can actually become the character they role play. If you were offended by what I said, sorry, for that was not my intention.
It was just the way you put it, I misunderstood you. So I apologize for that part, but you have to remember, I don't always understand these things. :/
Shall I assume that that like was an apology for the misunderstanding?
