Well, it's true that illegal aliens are a big boost to the economy, but the good news is that real wages have been rising faster than inflation for ten months now. Bad news for republicans, but good news for America.

That's the good part. After I retired, I became a secondary school teacher. A lot of my kids were the children of immigrants, most of them poor. But they were here because they wanted their kids to have a better life. And many of those kids went to college and are now holding down better jobs than their parents had. Other kids formed businesses and became construction contractors. Almost all of them are doing well in this country.

Which is what the parents intended. They are, parents and children, building a better America, because they believe in America. That's why they came here.

Fentanyl seizures along the US-Mexico border have hit record highs, suggesting that, despite a supposed ban on production of the deadly synthetic opioid in parts of Mexico, a multitude of criminal groups are keeping production apace.
United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents seized 12,119 kilograms (26,718 pounds) of illicit fentanyl along the country’s southwest border with Mexico in the 2023 fiscal year, which runs from October to September. This marked a nearly 90% increase from the 6,397 kilograms (14,104 pounds) officials seized in the previous fiscal year.

I used to have it,found it all online,I don't know if I could find it again.It was a lengthy multi-page report.When Alcoa bought the company I worked for they were always touting they were great ethical humanitarians.I accidently found the report while researching other Alcoa subjects.I actually took the report with me to work,and let my supervisor read it,my supervisor was a loose cannon and wasn't on the side of Alcoa,he hadn't drunk the Kool-Aid.Apparently that report made its rounds,because it wasn't too long after,there was someone who came from Mexico to address management about everything is great at Alcoa of Mexico.I heard about the meeting through "The Grapevine",odd coincidence?.

Nice account. But you can't offer any evidence that it's true, except your own personal testimony. Sorry, but according to the Scriptures, that isn't valid proof of something. And I certainly think that in this day and age of many, many just making up or twisting accounts to fit some agenda, that makes it suspect. Anyway, from your telling, I'm getting the idea that this may have been 50 years ago? Um, maybe 50 years ago Alcoa had a facility in Mexico where some of the workers slept in tents because it may have been a new installation and the Mexican worker chose to camp out to get a job or be at work on time. I don't know, of course, but without anything but an anecdotal account of such a thing happening, I'm sure there are likely more facts to consider in the account.

My point, of course, is to show how some will grab at all sorts of, apparently unfounded rumors and stories, to feed their anger, hate, distrust of the government that, according to the Sciptures, God says you should honor because those authorities have been put over you by God. Now, I'm not suggesting that the individuals that we set to fill those positions are necessarily put their by God's design or will, but they could be. But I think the Scriptures are clear that the political and governmental divisions that carve up the actual land area of the globe, were established by God. In other words, the nation of Israel was established by God. That Benjamin Netanyahu should be the designated leader of that nation at any particular time probably isn't. I support this understanding by understanding that over the history of Israel as a nation of God's people, He doesn't seem to have approved of many of the individual kings who came to rule over it in their various reigns.

If God does choose the individual leaders in each governmental authority that He establishes, then by denigrating the present administration, are you not going against God's chosen? Just a curious question that I keep coming to when I hear these claims that Donald Trump is God's choice for our president. I mean you must serve a fairly weak god that he can't seem to get his choice to win an election down here on the earth. Such a person would, in my estimation, be serving a pretty small god. And by then denigrating the person that, according to their understanding God must have put them there because they believe that God actually chooses the very people who serve in that position, are they not defying God's will?

Personally, I see America as the beast nation foretold in the Revelation. While I agree that God established the government of the new nation a few hundred years ago, I think it was so that 'the nation' would be here to fulfill its place in that part that we read of in the Revelation. In other words, God raised up the U.S. to be a nation much like He seems to have raised up Babylon against His people to use as their punisher for their continued rebellion. He has raised up the U.S. to be built into a nation that will one day fulfill the prophecies of what the beast nation will be doing. With that understanding, I'm not sure that God does pick our individual leaders.

He just raised up and established the nation because it has a part to play in God's unfolding plan. The leaders, over the years, much like in Israel, get to be chosen by the people and may be good or bad kings.
