Jhn 1:40 - One of the two which heard John
speak, and followed him, was Andrew, SimonPeter's brother.
Jhn 1:41 - He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
Jhn 1:42 - And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou artSimon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
Jhn 1:45 - Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whomMoses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
When Jesus told Peter that flesh and blood had not revealed to Peter who Jesus was, but it was the Father who revealed him.
This means that the Messiah was spoken of by Moses and the Prophets whom they were expecting.
Moses and the prophets wrote under inspiration of God, who is the Father. So when they heard from the Father by the prophets it is said that the Father reveals who the Christ is.
