That then is a problem for evolution in as yec say it is a downward trend not an upward trend..Research finds highly intelligent individuals prefer to socialize less than the rest of us.
Not a gaining in complexity but a gaining in simplicity. Devolution not evolution.

Don't see how. I would think that it would be beneficial to have highly intelligent people more focused on their work.
"Downward" and "upward" have no meaning in terms of evolution. Only fitness matters.
Human bodies, for example, are in many ways, simplified relative to bodies of reptiles. Jaws, cervical ribs, tails, etc. Do you think humans are downward relative to reptiles?
There is no "devolution"; that's a creationist superstition. We evolved when things like jaws became simplified. Sometimes evolution makes things more complex. Sometimes, it simplifies. But it's all a change in allele frequencies. Which is what evolution is.
Yep. That's why this is Devolution rather than evolution. Increase in simplicity - not complexity.
Do you believe evolution is how God creates? Then "upward" certainly would have meaning.
