a priest offers sacrifice it does not mean he has to make a new sacrifice
offers the sacrifice of Christ as Christ commanded them!
Christ ordained them priests at the last supper
The Passover is a perpetual sacrifice and Christ was offering the Passover, and changing it into the new covenant Passover. 1 cor 5:7
And a propitiatory sacrifice!
Jn 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Romans 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God
1 John 2:2
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Here in is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

The ministerial priesthood acts in “the person of Christ” so it is Christ who acts thru them vicariously.

even the new sects of the so called reformation had consecrated bishops and ordained priests and the sacrifice of Christ and the sacraments instituted by Christ!

The voice from Heaven spared Isaac's life; nevertheless the letter to Hebrews
credits Abraham with a sacrifice.
● Heb 11:17-19 . . By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he
that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was
said "That in Isaac shall thy seed be called" accounting that God was able to raise
him up, even from the dead.

why is there an altar and temple in heaven?
and why is Christ depicted as a sacrificial lamb?
Revelation 5:6
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
