    CAN I REMARRY....PLEASE HELP?

I take your question re whether you can remarry to mean you are asking whether God would allow it after you are legally divorced. Yes, you can remarry. God does not hate you or wish you to spend your life alone just because you were weak once. Please excuse me if I misunderstood your question.

How to get my wife to desire a relationship with Christ?

I think maybe you're asking too much. Couples don't necessarily have exactly the same closeness in their walk --I think that is normal. Be the best example you can and she will see how it affects your life and happiness. I don't think you can demand a certain level of closeness from someone.

theology of sexual unhappiness in marrage?

I was just wondering which answer people thought was the right one, or if there was some other answer that is correct.

theology of sexual unhappiness in marrage?

At the risk of nitpicking, don't you mean "loved your wife like you did when you were first married"? When people first meet they are infatuated or in romantic love. I think real, mature love comes later and hopefully grows throughout the marriage.

theology of sexual unhappiness in marrage?

As a surgeon I can tell patients that based on my experience doing a certain operation the chances of success are 98%. But I cannot GUARANTEE them it will be successful. Do you base your guarantee on personal experience in a long-term marriage (>25yrs) or because you have been a professional...

why didn't God stop the Nazis?

How does the fact that the Bible promises wars and other horrors reconcile with Matt 6:26, where Jesus says we shouldn't worry because God looks after the needs of the birds of the air and people are worth much more than they? I think there is an incorrect theology in the minds of many...

theology of sexual unhappiness in marrage?

I started a new thread in the Theology section that is more what I am asking-- when or if God takes action.

why didn't God stop the Nazis?

If God is omniscient and omnipotent, why didn't He kill the Nazi leaders? He killed Annanias and Saphira, so we know he can do it when he chooses to. Even if you accept the idea that he didn't care that 5-6 million Jews were systematically slaughtered because they didn't accept Jesus, millions...

theology of sexual unhappiness in marrage?

So it sounds like the Group's opinion is that the Holy Spirit does not do anything, and it is up to the individual to change themselves. But why doesn't God or the Holy Spirit do something? It would be so easy for God to just adjust the thinking of the two people a little so they are on the...

theology of sexual unhappiness in marrage?

I'm just looking to understand the situation. Personally I believe that God is omnipotent. So if he is not working in spouses' hearts to make them satisfied with their situation He either doesn't think the problem is significant or is choosing to not do it.

theology of sexual unhappiness in marrage?

Looking over the threads in this forum, it is obvious that many married couples are not happy with sexual issues in their relationship. How is this explained biblically? It seems to me that if God is able to work in our hears thru the Holy Spirit He could fine tune our hearts to make us more...

    What to do?

This is absolutely true. About 12 years ago when I was working in the youth groups at my church one of the secretaries there gave her testimony that 12 or so years prior to that she had been the only virgin amoungst her friends at a CHRISTIAN high school in the NINTH grade. So if she waited...

    What to do?

WIP, It is not your fault. You did your best to raise her to act in a Godly manner, but she is her own person and must make her own decisions. The feelings of love and the related desire for physical intimacy are not things most young people can ignore. That's just how it is. In most cases...

Signs that pornography has entered your marriage

It is very sad when men allow themselves to degenerate to this level. One of my wife's close Christian friends left her husband a while ago because he is hopelessly into porn and basically ignores her. She just couldn't stand being in the same house with him anymore. One could argue that when a...
