King Saul - heaven or hell??

Both were dead in Sheol awaiting resurrection. They could only be saved by Jesus Christ. Rev 1:18 - I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Sure I did. They couldn't be saved until Jesus' resurrection defeated...

King Saul - heaven or hell??

Please enlighten us, with scripture. Yes. Both dead in Sheol awaiting resurrection. One likely comforted in anticipation of resurrectionand judgment because of his faith in God, the other likely tormented in anticipation of resurrection and judgement. Until Jesus finished His redemptive...

King Saul - heaven or hell??

Nobody is talking about placement of the body. 'The Grave' is synonymous with Sheol. 'In Death' is synonymous with Sheol. We know from 1Samuel 31 what happened to Saul's body, and it wasn't with Samuel's. So now you know that Sheol is not Heaven. Sheol is where disembodied souls are kept...

King Saul - heaven or hell??

The term 'angel' is not limited to a class of angelic beings. Any messenger can be considered an angel regardless of their form. Slightly out of context, but the idea is there: 1Sa 2:6 - The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. The Saul/Witch/Samuel...

King Saul - heaven or hell??

Saul was not a Christian, and neither was Samuel. Jesus had not yet finished His work so there was no salvation or eternal life yet to give, just a promise. Samuel's prophecy was that Saul would be imprisoned with him in the grave. Thereafter they would wait for resurrection and judgement...

    THE END-TIME PERSECUTION

What Herod the Great did to Israel was compromise the integrity of the Jewish political and religious leadership in order to appease the Pagan Roman Empire.

    THE END-TIME PERSECUTION

The thing is there are more believers believers in modern times than any other time in history. Christianity is still growing. We are promised persecution, so no surprise there. Yet not all irritants are persecution. Not getting your way doesn't equal persecution.
