I have to go to the dentist, chemist and supermarket tmrwn but which face mask should I wear?

These are surgical face masks designed for surgeons not to breathe onto patients during operations
They don't offer good protection against an airborne virus
It's not sealed so the virus can sneak in from the sides

These are known as N95 face masks
They provide a better fit which reduces the risk of an airborne virus getting in
However there is no oxygen supply so you are just breathing in the same air as you are breathing out, carbon dioxide
And if you wear glasses as I do the air you exhale leaves the small gaps around the nose causing glasses to fog up

If im going to wear a mask I may as well do it properly
This is known as a half face respirator
It's filters and valves give you clean fresh air every breath you take
It also fits so it's sealed on your face, no little places for the virus to infiltrate
I think im gonna wear this...

The next level of protection is a full mask respirator
This prevents the possibility of contracting the virus through eye exposure
 
Since going to a dentist is time consuming, an n95 might not last. D you have access to a p-100? How is the dentist gonna work on you if you're wearing a mask anyway?

I have chosen to not go for the burka, but just a all natural mask with nothing on my head or face.

May the Lord protect me. And he will because he is trustworthy and truth and I believe him and have faith in him 100% , so I have no doubt.

I can't wear the mask while the dentist is operating

Im in contact with too many elderly people
I don't think i could ever forgive myself if one of them died from contracting the virus from me

Old people die in general. It's not your fault. You don't have a contagious disease right?.
 
The half face respirators seem like a reasonable compromise. They are not easy to talk in though.

The disposable N95 face masks with gaskets tend to seal better than those without, IMHO.
 
I've dodged the bullet in having to wear respirators at work. You have to go through safety classes and be fit tested and get a medical clearance to wear one. I've got a beard...
The zinc plant also makes various forms of sulfur acids... including bleach for clothes detergent. Working around it too much and you need one. Where I got dusted once out of the roaster under a silo (it was an accidental exposure) I've never had to... didn't want to.

And I'd want my own if I ever did need to. Kinda like a scuba gear thing. I want my own mouthpiece, facemask, gloves, and fins.

Just don't want to be that intimate with someone else's equipment.
 
Ok so i chickened out and didn't wear the hazmat suit
I ended up just wearing the disposable N95 masks that fog my glasses

First I was surprised at how busy the shopping center was
It was business as usual with most stores open and plenty of people shopping
It was like a normal day

What surprised me the most was that only 1 in 8 people were even wearing masks.
So many elderly people over the age of 60 seemingly without a care in the world not wearing masks.

Considering it's the elderly that are most vulnerable to C19 I was quite astonished to find so many of them showing a total disregard for their own lives.

It doesn't just kill the elderly. It will, but age has less to do with it than previously thought.
And n-95 masks are difficult to come by for many people. You are lucky to have one. And also wearing masks isn't an option for some people who have respiratory/ circulatory disorders.
