When a Christian church sports a rainbow out front.

Hey I drive by these churches all the time. Mostly United Church of Christ. One of them has a neon church sign and a rainbow as a background and the name of the church over top of that. In other words, It's not just flags. I'll bet you have them in your neighborhood, but you just never noticed...

When a Christian church sports a rainbow out front.

It's not a Christian church. Beware of these churches. You won't find Jesus or salvation in these places. Only the truth can set you free. Preacher Confronts ️‍🌈 Church Then It SHUTS DOWN

False churches: I have new standards.

For what it's worth. To dive down a rabbit hole for a second... I was thinking about this and reminded myself the standard that I use for radio pastors when I was first saved. The standard was simple. I don't need to agree with everything that they teach on the nonessentials, but I must be...

False churches: I have new standards.

I'm not sure what forum this topic best fits into.. I used to go by the old stand by, that is, if they have the essentials right, then the rest is just honest differences. But as the years go by I'm beginning to see how naive that way of thinking may be. The problem also arises in what to do...

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

The environment of death and decay is also in us. For a fallen person, that's all they have. That will always result in a natural rejection of God. That is, until God intervenes. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness...

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

Hey D You are claiming that the first sin causes our mortality, but it is our mortality is what makes us sin? Which is it? I don't like the term mortality. We are not vampires here. It's not that simple. Spiritually we experience death from being separated from God. Physically, we experience...

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

Not incorrupt, but unable to pass on that corruption. It is the man that makes that transfer of corruption possible. Think of it like this. A woman and man are both corrupt. But that corruption is passed down through man, not woman. Dave

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

I guess my point was, if all our sin is caused from the mortality, wouldn't a physical resurrection fix everything? Why the Spiritual resurrection? Dave

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

Our sin causes our mortality. It started with Adam. And this sin separates us from God. Think of it like this. After Adam, every person born of a biological father is born a bad tree. That's everyone but Jesus. When we are born we get a pass due to ignorance, but eventually grow into this state...

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

If you believe scripture, then you know this sinful nature is passed down through man. This Biblical truth doesn't rely on Eve's purity. The scripture has been posted already. Dave

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

D But even the unsaved are resurrected unto judgment. If I'm understanding you correctly...if the death we are saved from is only physical, why would we need both a spiritual and physical resurrection to be made new? In other words, why the need to be born again? Dave

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

Hey D Are you a good tree, or a bad tree? The good fruit comes from the Holy Spirit. The bad fruit, from your flesh. A bad tree cannot bear good fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit. That's total depravity. Alistair Begg summed it up very well when he said "Anything good that comes from us...

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

Hey D You are disregarding the fact that the sin nature is passed down through man. Adam, while not the first to sin, was representing the 'headship' of himself and Eve. That's why it's passed down through Him. Mary had a sin nature, but could not pass it down. Only Joseph could have. Dave

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

Nobody has refuted the opening post. Everyone born of a biological father received a sin nature from Adam. And everyone with this sin nature will eventually, knowingly, and with accountability, sin. As much as some would like to deify Mary, Babylon will have to wait. she's special, but not that...

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

Hey everyone Just to use an extreme example, simply because it's the only place that I believe that we can get a definitive answer in scripture. Can anyone give an example of a new born, or even a one year old sinning? It doesn't need to have actually happened, just theoretically speaking...

Mary was born with a sinful nature.

Some think that the fact that He did not sin was proof that He was incapable of it. The same "yesterday, today, and forever", is speaking of the nature of God. If sin was possible, wouldn't that have changed? Does that make the testing or tempting any less a testing or tempting? Dave

Worms don't bother me. :helmet I don't think it was evil. But what was the shame from, if not a new awareness of something? That would somehow apply to "good and evil", no? Dave
