Then in this particular case, a new topic should be started with the title - "Was Jesus in the tomb for three days and three nights?"

Why Sabbath should be kept for Christians - evidence from the timeline of Jesus' death and resurrection

No one that I know. But I'm trying to figure out what that has to do with my comment that you quoted.

And if they do, they will find that it has nothing to do with this topic.

Why Sabbath should be kept for Christians - evidence from the timeline of Jesus' death and resurrection

Correct, on a first day of the week. So, to be consistent you would have to say, " which is also an eighth day of the week", which of course is impossible when dealing with seven-day weeks.

Why Sabbath should be kept for Christians - evidence from the timeline of Jesus' death and resurrection

Good to see that you agree that the 7 must be referring to the third day after the burial in order to conform with the other 5. BTW, I'd still like to know what point I'm missing with regards to the issue.

Why Sabbath should be kept for Christians - evidence from the timeline of Jesus' death and resurrection

re: "You entirely miss the point..." And what might that point be? re: "Your fixation on insistence (as always) that all other (around 15) scriptures be interpreted by a literal rendering of this one..." There are 5 verses which say or imply that 3 nights would be involved, i.e., Matthew...

Why Sabbath should be kept for Christians - evidence from the timeline of Jesus' death and resurrection

OK, it's been discussed how a lack of the third night of the Messiah's prophesy can be explained. Perhaps now, someone might explain how an actual third night could have occurred.

Why Sabbath should be kept for Christians - evidence from the timeline of Jesus' death and resurrection

Was He in the "heart of the earth" during those three hours?

    Common Usage?

That would be an issue for a different topic. Maybe you could start one.

    Common Usage?

    1. The Messiah said that He would be three days and three nights in the "heart of the earth" 2. There are those who think that the crucifixion took place on the 6th day of the week with the resurrection taking place on the 1st day of the week. 3. Of those, there are some who think that the...

    Common Usage?

And remember, that "someone new" needs to be someone who believes the crucifixion took place on the 6th day of the week with a 1st day of the week resurrection, and who thinks that the "heart of the earth" is referring to the tomb, and who tries to explain the lack of a 3rd night by saying that...

God of the Bible is not all loving.

So you're saying that everyone is included in the Book of Life?

God of the Bible is not all loving.

But how do they get there after they are judged and found to not be included in the Book of Life?

God of the Bible is not all loving.

But not in your post #7 to which my post #58 was directed. You had written that "someone who wants to believe, no miracles are necessary". Regarding that comment I asked if you were suggesting that beliefs can be obtained by simply choosing to have them? You replied "Of course" in your post...

What choices did they have from which to select?

God of the Bible is not all loving.

In order to demonstrate your ability to consciously choose to believe things. This was based on your comment that "To someone who wants to believe, no miracles are necessary." However, I may have misunderstood you when you wrote that. I thought by that, that you were implying that beliefs...

God of the Bible is not all loving.

What's your point with regard to being able to consciously engender a belief in someone or something?

God of the Bible is not all loving.

What the heck did I write that would cause you to say that?
