Well that 10 second clip sure didn't seem like bragging to me.
Ah, it was quote mining to make it seem like bragging when in fact it was emphasizing the need for a safety system. Thanks for the full quote PeterJens. You're right, he's helping a lot of people in the world. I don't understand why...
Thanks for the suggestions. My knowledge of the people and events of 70 AD is just cursory.
Jesus mentioned the events of 70 AD too so this new connection makes me want to learn more.
I get that all of revelation isn't just about those people but seeing the connection in the first three verses makes me wonder if there are any other connections. It makes me want to study the people and events of 70 AD more.
I know the old testament uses precursors and foreshadowing a lot for events in the new testament.
Is Revelation and the events of 70 AD an example of that in the new testament?
An argument based on some sort of "gotcha" moment is not very effective.
Fauci has repeatedly encouraged people to wear masks once the pandemic was in full force. Some emails where he said "...not really effective..." isn't a good foundation to build a case Fauci walked back claims about masks...
I think God views us as his children since we're told to refer to God as our father.
"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." Matthew 6:9
It sounds like VAERS exists as an error correction to the data they put out. If there were any irregularities in the data on vaccine injuries the VAERS system would expose it.
I agree we cannot do this on our own. God draws us to him (regardless of our will).
Yet, I believe once we are drawn to him, we are given a choice to accept Jesus or not.
I don't understand how our will can be controlled by something when we can do otherwise.
We can choose to ignore the holy spirit. We can also choose to sin or not sin.
I view them as influences but it seems to me we ultimately determine our choices.
While I personally believe man has free will...
Odd to think of it as my theory. It's just stuff I've heard or been taught over the years.
Scriptures about seeking and doors being opened back up this theory.
Romans 1:20 substantiates the idea God makes himself known to everyone through his creation.
Then it's up to them to seek: "For...
LOL
I guess people on the right don't take time to actually think about the absurdity of the narratives they push.
"...editors may raise with the authors concerns regarding potentially sexist, misogynistic, and/or anti-LGBTQ+ assumptions, implications or speech in their submission; engage...
I'm still having a hard time understanding the conclusion. It seems to me not having heard of Jesus and free will are not mutually exclusive.
I agree there is no path to salvation aside from faith in Jesus.
Is it possible God knows, given the choice, 2 billion people will still reject Jesus...
When you say God controls all circumstances (either actively or passively), how is it possible to passively control something?
Passive: accepting or allowing what happens or what others do, without active response or resistance.
I find this whole thread fascinating. I can't say I ever gave much thought about defining free will but this thread made me think about it.
But your given scenario raises a question.
Romans 1:20
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine...
