Just because you don't agree with something someone says about your OP doesn't mean you can accuse them of being off topic. You don't own the thread and you can't dictate what anyone says that doesn't violate the Terms of Service. Read your original post here where you said:
The entire premise...
We didn't. Your original OP brought up the subject. (Your original OP, not the modified version you presented in this post!) Had you not wanted to discuss this part of your OP, you should have removed it from the original.
No. You are an ignorant cultist if you insist that this is the only true and directly inspired word of God (so only you and your group are right while the rest of the world is wrong) and you venerate the book itself as a god (worshiping an inanimate object as a god) as do those who are truly...
Your scripture reference which I am well familiar with did not answer my question. Also, you did not understand my post even after I explained it to you.
Yeah, I've seen people give surprising testimonies at times I wouldn't have expected it before, but I can't remember any as awesome as you just described! God bless this strong and brave man!
I was sorry to here about his death. I used to work in his neighborhood and a couple people I worked with got to meet him, but I never did. I sure would have liked to though. I always felt bad that he had to turn to Islam instead of to the true God. But at least we got to have him with us...
We'll be praying for her. Yeah, she's desperate. But she's not alone. A lot of those women in those clubs as well as the ones working the streets are there for the same reasons. I pray for several of them that I know every day.
Go back and read my entire post instead of just reading and pasting one small part.
You're actually asking me what true sin is in the way I used that term in my post? Isn't it obvious that I'm talking about the truth of scripture in it's description of the sins that were truly being committed...
I'm glad you brought up that section of scripture and I think especially the first part of it is worth posting word for word here:
With all the hatred by Christians toward homosexuals today it's interesting to notice that Biblical descriptions of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah don't even bother...
One is enough for those who wish to remain ignorant. Those who seek the truth look at and analyze information from all sources they can find to come to their conclusions.
Was that for me? I'm sure the same sources, or at least some of the same, were used to translate Spanish bibles as well, but using the same source doesn't make them the same translation. Even a direct translation from the KJV, using only one of the several corrected versions of the KJV...
I met my ex wife in Mexico, her entire family are church going people who have lived in Mexico for generations, and every year for 10 years I lived with them for months at a time where no other people spoke English and white Americans were almost never seen. I don't know what difference it...
Yes indeed it is. When a group of people venerate (worship) an object as god they are a cult. I have been told by multiple people in the KJV Only cult that the KJV is not a translation of scriptures but is literally their god. They base this on their idea that it is the "perfect word of God"...
You obviously only knew a certain group of English speaking people in Mexico and didn't know many, if any at all, of the actual spanish speaking Mexicans (that I know) who would not understand a single word of the KJV translation.
Anyone that claims they do is mistaken. No translation is 100% correct. That's basic knowledge from any higher level Biblical Foundations class! I trust the original manuscripts to be 100% correct and true, but sadly we don't have those anymore. This is why we need to study and educate...
