“Crying by the Window”

“This is not a real story only a story to show a lesson. A woman is in her room. Its day time and it is raining. The rain drops are rolling down the window pane. It’s a rainy day and the woman is reflecting on her life. She realizes that some time ago she gave up her child. . She feels she has betrayed her son who should be with his real mother. Actually because she was once living an irresponsible life she was more worried about her friends than bringing up this baby. Feeling this baby was taking up to much of her time she gave it up for adoption. With her friends of before and the drugs they were using was much more important than having responsibilities. .

Yet the woman remembers an image of the child. The baby who stood up wide eyed and had opened the curiosity of a young mom reaching out for love as a mother. But yet in the eyes of the mother at this time was drowned by her own desires that this precious child had no room in her life. .

The woman started reading the Bible sometime a few weeks ago. To see how much God loves people her eyes began to open. For what she didn’t see before now the love of her child had grown fond to her. But she was hopeless in thoughts that the parents who adopted this child now are the true parents she had not become. . . She also reflected in her battles with her family. She remembers taking the salad bowl and throwing it on the floor. She told her mother you have not done anything for me!.

Even now also she knew that was not true either. She said such a thing because she was one who wanted her own ways because her mother did not give in made her believe then that her mother was not doing anything for her. . She found things in the garage that belonged to the family to sell them for drugs. She used to make up stories on the phone to her parents where she really was. Her father though worked a lot and kind of was a quiet man. He did not confront her as her mother would usually be the one. . She thought of the times she wanted to be the best of her siblings. . Taking opportunities to take credit for things she has not done herself. . At Christmas she wanted the best gifts. Yes in those days she had the mind as Esau who wanted a birthright or acceptance even to become jealous and envious with hatred among her siblings. . . .

But today Chelsea is by the window in tears crying out to God. Is God angry at her she wondered? Will God hate me forever? Is this grace really true or does it just apply to those who have only made a few mistakes in life? Crying by the window hope seems to be gone. Even God can’t help her.

2 months had gone by she went about her new job working in the Treasury Dept. For 2 years she had been in rehab to quit drugs. She got training and learned to be a hard working woman. It has taken her time to gain the love of her parents. But she has been slowly telling them about her new Faith in God and she is not the girl they once knew. But even so she says I don’t know if God has forgiven me. . I often go to my window look to God and I cry. I just want to change God. I don’t know what the answer is. I pray some day you can show me. I don’t know if your anger will quit against me. . But I’m sorry for my past. I will try to listen to God. Yes but doubt was in her heart. But she was still fairly new about reading the Bible.

One day Chelsea got home from work and walked into the house. The red light was flashing on her phone making her aware she had a message. It was a message from an agency to ask if she would meet with them. . She took off work early on Thursday. This agency told her that they had received a letter from her son who is now 13 years old. . They told her about the letter. He desires to know of his real mother and wants to be able to meet her. . She had not known her child since the adopted parents wanted to estrange her from her son because of her irresponsible neglected way of living. . But the parents felt since the child is now 13 he can see for himself what he thinks about this woman his mother. His name was Dionne. Pronounced (De on knee)

She met him on a Saturday so she can spend a full day. Dionne was accompanied by his adopted parents. They said wow you sure look different these days. What happen to all those bandannas and the hard ways we used to know of you? The woman explained how she had been admitted to drug rehab. Hearing about God she wanted to read the Bible. I’ve been hurting lately because of giving up on Dionne. I realized I made the worst mistake in my life and I know I was young and it was my entire fault. I asked God if He can forgive me for all I have done.

The parents told her they became Christians five years ago and that Dionne wanted to know his Mother. . The father I prayed to God Oh Lord what should I do? Did you not forgive me Lord? Did you not give me a chance? I felt since the Lord had forgiven me says the adopted father. I believe God wanted to give you a chance to meet the child who wants to meet you.

Then man went on. I believe God has answered your prayer. You have been forgiven for giving up your son. And all those bad things you have done. . I felt in my heart such a pulling of God’s spirit upon me. . Why Lord do you want me to meet this woman? For you know she was a person I could not respect. Why I are you drawing me there? The Lord was pressing upon my heart and I didn’t have any reason why. Your prayer had been answered from God who God had spoken to my heart to meet this woman to give her a chance.

The woman felt from this day such great relief that God was the kind of God who knew of her ways and was faithful to answer her prayer and faithful of being forgiving. . God did not answer her by a voice. But He God planned she would meet her son and hand his parents that God would show to her that he heard her ’Crying by the Window”.

The lesson of the story is God will hear us when we pray. We often can feel hopeless reaching out for God who sometimes does not seem to be listening. God does sometimes answer prayers to those who don’t believe in him. For example one has prayed to save the life of her mother in the hospital. . God sometimes will answer a prayer like that because he is a God of great compassion. To that one who does not believe might just have an answered prayer that they will see God is real and will then believe. . It does not mean for the non believer that God will constantly answer prayers. But God may answer some very important prayers to show this non believer calling by His name and asking for help that God will do by his promises. However God won’t fully work in a non believer life. . One needs to give themselves over to God. I believe prayers will be poured more abundantly and the work of God will be as a bail of crops whose sowing the seeds have flourished in doing the work of the Lord.

If you ever feel you have gone too far or if you ever think you have done worse than what you believe that God won’t forgive please don’t believe that way. When Jesus died for our sins He died for all small and great. Don’t let your past haunt you. It’s not Gods desire to condemn us. But it is God’s desire to forgive us and save us.

I’ve been in situations in life where I believed I broke the camels back or I went beyond all limits of God’s forgiveness. . Today I am alive and as well as ever. I doubted the grace of God. But God knew I was confused and I didn’t understand. I know now because God was faithful to forgive. .

Because I was forgiven for all the sins I have done I also pass on to you” Crying by the Window’ a story I wanted to share that even in our thoughts of hopelessness that God has heard the words of our heart and He will answer in His way and time. Be of great cheer. The Lord has not forgotten. He has remembered us.

Remember even David the king murdered a man to have his wife and this to have his child. . Oh David what thou has done you servant? But God forgave him and found much grace in him. . David has become the great Psalmist who delivers God’s Word to our own comfort. Whenever you are in trouble call upon the name of the Lord to help you. Even if you are doing well call his name. We weep in our sorrows and God will comfort us. We praise God in victory because He shall reign in all things. . Lets please find some scriptures we can search on how God helps us in distress and those how we call upon God.
