“This is not a real story only a story to show a lesson. A woman is in her room. Its day time and it is raining. The rain drops are rolling down the window pane. It’s a rainy day and the woman is reflecting on her life. She realizes that some time ago she gave up her child. . She feels she has betrayed her son who should be with his real mother. Actually because she was once living an irresponsible life she was more worried about her friends than bringing up this baby. Feeling this baby was taking up to much of her time she gave it up for adoption. With her friends of before and the drugs they were using was much more important than having responsibilities. .
Yet the woman remembers an image of the child. The baby who stood up wide eyed and had opened the curiosity of a young mom reaching out for love as a mother. But yet in the eyes of the mother at this time was drowned by her own desires that this precious child had no room in her life. .
The woman started reading the Bible sometime a few weeks ago. To see how much God loves people her eyes began to open. For what she didn’t see before now the love of her child had grown fond to her. But she was hopeless in thoughts that the parents who adopted this child now are the true parents she had not become. . . She also reflected in her battles with her family. She remembers taking the salad bowl and throwing it on the floor. She told her mother you have not done anything for me!.
Even now also she knew that was not true either. She said such a thing because she was one who wanted her own ways because her mother did not give in made her believe then that her mother was not doing anything for her. . She found things in the garage that belonged to the family to sell them for drugs. She used to make up stories on the phone to her parents where she really was. Her father though worked a lot and kind of was a quiet man. He did not confront her as her mother would usually be the one. . She thought of the times she wanted to be the best of her siblings. . Taking opportunities to take credit for things she has not done herself. . At Christmas she wanted the best gifts. Yes in those days she had the mind as Esau who wanted a birthright or acceptance even to become jealous and envious with hatred among her siblings. . . .
But today Chelsea is by the window in tears crying out to God. Is God angry at her she wondered? Will God hate me forever? Is this grace really true or does it just apply to those who have only made a few mistakes in life? Crying by the window hope seems to be gone. Even God can’t help her.
2 months had gone by she went about her new job working in the Treasury Dept. For 2 years she had been in rehab to quit drugs. She got training and learned to be a hard working woman. It has taken her time to gain the love of her parents. But she has been slowly telling them about her new Faith in God and she is not the girl they once knew. But even so she says I don’t know if God has forgiven me. . I often go to my window look to God and I cry. I just want to change God. I don’t know what the answer is. I pray some day you can show me. I don’t know if your anger will quit against me. . But I’m sorry for my past. I will try to listen to God. Yes but doubt was in her heart. But she was still fairly new about reading the Bible.
One day Chelsea got home from work and walked into the house. The red light was flashing on her phone making her aware she had a message. It was a message from an agency to ask if she would meet with them. . She took off work early on Thursday. This agency told her that they had received a letter from her son who is now 13 years old. . They told her about the letter. He desires to know of his real mother and wants to be able to meet her. . She had not known her child since the adopted parents wanted to estrange her from her son because of her irresponsible neglected way of living. . But the parents felt since the child is now 13 he can see for himself what he thinks about this woman his mother. His name was Dionne. Pronounced (De on knee)
She met him on a Saturday so she can spend a full day. Dionne was accompanied by his adopted parents. They said wow you sure look different these days. What happen to all those bandannas and the hard ways we used to know of you? The woman explained how she had been admitted to drug rehab. Hearing about God she wanted to read the Bible. I’ve been hurting lately because of giving up on Dionne. I realized I made the worst mistake in my life and I know I was young and it was my entire fault. I asked God if He can forgive me for all I have done.
