Not a single one of those were routine.

Every last one of them was special circumstances.

Within 8 days of birth is the norm. The closest one was the free clinic using a "defective" clamp. (One that wasn't idiot proof). The clinicians who performed this obviously were not able to do it properly or knew how. And it was done two weeks after the child was born.

And if ten cases surrounding this was all they could come up with...

Ouch ouch I can't find it, it's gone, I looked under the bed in the closet, the car and the toaster the fridge, and I can't find it nowhere, call the cops, has Lorena Bobbitt been in here ?

Most of them were routine, just a bit later. (Some were in the newborn period). I can attest though, that pretty much ALL newborns scream terribly, and generally go into a shock period afterward, where they sleep for many hours without waking. When the mother shows concern about this, I have to bite my tongue. I think all parents should be required to watch what their sons go through.

What Is the Jewish tradition in this?
Doctors don't generally do them, a trained Jewish circumciser does them. We never saw them. They generally do it on the 8th day, because of tradition and that is when babies can make their own Vit K. Nowadays all infants are given Vit K at birth, so circs are done earlier.

Yea but the parents are there and rabbis trained it do it at the temple.a prayer is said.it's more akin to a dedication of they boy to the torah

Oh oh, time for an old joke.

Working in a circumcision ward isn't so bad. You work for tips and a chance to get...you know the rest.
