No, but it is the inspired word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Have a great day. :)

Oh, and remember:

Psalm 118:8
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.

Have a great day. :) (oh, I already said that)

I never understood this.

Some guy wrote a book, and said "God told me what to write, So you have to believe it"

Now, Why can't I do the same?

Why can't the hundreds of people that truly, 100% believe God talks DIRECTLY to them, write a book and say "this is what god told me to write" and have it accepted?

My mom and I often got in arguments when I was a child, ANd it always came out to "Because I say so."

Would you buy a car from a salesman wearing a pin that said "Hi I'm and honest salesman" ?

Are you sure it wasn't 163, 256, 547, 365 years ago? :o Or maybe it was 150 million years ago, give or take a couple of million years? :-)

Does it really matter? I do know it's a lot of morning coffees. Why don't you have one while you read the article?

Well, if the first part of Genesis matched up with what we see in the natural world, the creation, then one could say that, however, it really doesn't. The ONLY thing that illudes to anything other than millions of years of stellar and geologic age is the "genealogy" written down in the Bible.

And I would have to concure with peace4all. . . . .just because a FINITE man, who wrote 2 Timothy, SAID that what he wrote (and the others) was inspired by God, . . . . it is STILL a man saying it, thus he cannot be trusted with no doubt.

Fact is, and as Romans 1:20 illudes to, the creation we see and are able to test, only points to an ancient earth and even MORE ancient universe.
