They were not looking very good in their first few games. Their last game was a little better, the young guys seem to be finding a bit of chemistry now. I didn't realize that the international rules were so different. Dribbling first before taking a step must be a hard adjustment for all our guys. The international refs could do a better job too, calling head fakes as travelling is going a bit overbaord. Thought the team played very well considering the chemistry factor. They just may take the gold after all. It'll be fun to watch, anyways. What do you think, do they have a chance?

Wow, looks to me like they don't have any chance at all. They got absolutely destroyed by Puerto Rico. They were missing freethrows left and right and the defense was quite pathetic. Puerto Rico did play well, but they are not at all a world class team. Unless the US has a huge turn around, I don't think they're going to take a medal this year.

they did ok against my Aussie Boomers. We gave you guys a run for your money though!!!!!

It just seems like the bench doesn't go very deep for the US.

I loved watching these guys play, as suspensful as it was at times. I've heard a couple people say that they thought they didn't play like a team....I didn't really get that feeling though. I thought everyone contributed where they needed to. Of course, our team was not very experienced with international b-ball, and the average age was 23 so the majority of them were rookies. But the rookies are the future olympic basketball team, Lebron, Carmelo, RJ, Wade, Odom, etc. will be back. I'm glad they got the chance to see it for themselves and learn, so they can be even better when they come back. It was great to see them beat Lithuania for the bronze. :)
