These are my thoughts, please share yours.
Some translation refers to it in verse 15 others it’s the last part of 14.
We as believes should wish peace for one another and bring peace to one another, we should not cause strife with one another or help strife continue but bring peace which we know because of Christ, the Prince of peace.
We as believers will know our friends and those we can trust, the world may take a stand against but God will give us friends we can count on, if not we still can trust Him. Jesus had a time before the Resurrection where He had no friends to help Him but He will never forsake us and is a friend we can always count on.
They knew there friends they had a close friendship with them because they knew their names. As believers it is best for us to be friends with other believers so that we can come together and builds a friendship by our common ground of faith in Him, this is the strongest foundation for any relationship.

Spot on, Clark!

It is vital to each brother and sister in Christ to fellowship with each other. We are each others' comfort & support; we share our knowledge to help each other grow in our relationships with our Lord. We are provide peace, a safe haven, to each other - whether in person or here, at CFnet (for example).

In addition, we are given the commission by our Lord to reach out and gently bring non-believers to Him, so they may share in the peace of our Lord. The more we are able to guide to Him, the more brothers and sisters in Christ we have. Lovely thought, that!

It's good to remember also that the verse divisions are not inspired; they were inserted for convenience by Robert Stephens in the 16th century.

Blessings.
