I'm utterly amazed that people in this world are irresistably drawn to the Dark Side! Against all rationality they pursue the wrong politics, the wrong religion, the wrong moral compass.

They want Islam, Hinduism, Self-Improvement, Hypnosis, Legalism, Asceticism, Libertinism--anything but Right-Wing Christianity. They want Religious Pluralism as long as it isn't Dogmatic Christianity. Why is this? Could it be the power of the "False Prophet?"

They want Communism or Socialism, setting up an elite over everybody to redistribute property with the caveat that they be controlled by that elite. The distribution is not focused upon responsibility or morality or religiosity. Why is that? Could it be the power of the "Antichrist?"

Ultimately, people simply don't want to be under the authority of God or His Word. Sounds like the spirit of Satan to me? "Hath God said? God is trying to trick you, to keep you under His control. He's jealous of you, afraid you'll be independent like He is."

Rev 16.12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. 13 Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.
15 “Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”

Very interesting......

I always wonder how anyone can give power to all these things.....Satan, the False Prophet, the antiChrist.....

God is all things.....He is the darkness and the Light......He created all things, and nothing in His Creation is more powerful than He is....unless a person believes Satan somehow surpassed God in His Works.....

Satan cannot "empower" anyone or anything....unless that be God's Will.....God Created Satan, and can destroy His own Creation any time He see's fit.....you might consider the great flood as an example of God destroying life at His Will.

Frogs were the last of the plagues the magicians brought upon the earth.
There are no magicians other than the one God permits.
Don’t be fooled.

There is no God but the one God. The God of this world is a God of one’s own imagination. A God who they can blame others rather than themselves for evil.

God is all things.....He is the darkness and the Light......He created all things
God is not all things. He created all things, as you correctly state, which means he cannot be anything which he created. He is wholly other, distinct from
His creation. To say that “He is the darkness and the Light,” is to say that he is evil and good, but to say that Gos is evil is blaspemous.

1Jn 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (ESV)

Thank you....I did misstate that....God is the Creator of all things, including the darkness and the Light....and all things belong to Him

Yes, words are tricky sometimes but I did get what I think you wanted to say, that God is in charge of everything, including both darkness and light. Even our free will is under His control since He gives us the options.

If darkness is having its way, then we can rest assured that it is under God's scrutiny and is fulfilling some role in the end-game, which involves judging that darkness, as well. God gives evil just enough rope to hang itself. He allows it full expression so that its many advocates feel enabled, plot and gather together, only to be tied up, bundled and thrown into the fire.

Even our free will is under His control since He gives us the options.
That is an interesting concept.....and I do agree all the choices available to men under "free will" do fall within God's Domain.....such as the choice between good vs evil, but it still comes down to each mans choice (and their responsibility). No one can blame it on anyone or anything else...it is a choice given.

Darkness rules this world....because those inclined to evil will do anything and everything to have and hold wealth and power. But it is men doing this....not some "supernatural being"; and yes, all of this does serve God's Purpose.....in sorting out which Angel's are worthy to return to Him, and which are not.

Funny you say this--I just said this to my wife. I was talking about how as a child I had greater imagination, fantasy, creativity. But as a adult, I'm largely boring, routine, somewhat predictable.

But then, I thought again. No, the adult life is pretty stable overall, but does have interesting twists and sometimes catastrophic changes. As such, it is an adventure, far surpassing childhood with its dependency on family, govt., and peers.

It all ends up on our desk, and we determine our future. Yes, God is in charge, but He lays it upon us to make important choices that determine which way we go. If we make it, we can be proud that with God's help we made it.

Clearly, I have a Conservative outlook, wanting private interests to remain free of govt intrusion, and feel that the less govt intrference the more free we are politically, the more business can take chances and make people money.

As far as the philosophy of freedom goes in light of divine sovereignty, I see the Word of God as the baseline. God gives freedom for people to make independent choices given x number of options, never surpassing the baseline guidelines.

On the other hand, people are given freedom to oppose God's word, which ends up in all of the alternative scenarios God has allowed those options. In the end, everything is judged by the baseline, and all is judged by God's Word.

Everything ends up conforming to God's judgment because His Word is the baseline for everything. It never exceeds what God's Word allows. As such, it is all predictable and never falls beyond God's sovereignty and purpose.

I don't see any angels returning to God--you do? What do you base this on?

But yes, we can't blame the Devil for our own choices. However, he uses his power to influence and motivate people against their better judgment through duress.

That does mean "supernatural elements" play a role in human decision-making, which incurs even more judgment for those creatures who have already rebelled in heaven. So angels and men will be judged in the matter of deviant human behavior, as I see it.

Sorry.....most of what I remember is not supported by Scripture or any other ancient text.....I've already posted some of it in other threads on this forum......and cannot do so again; I don't want to upset or offend other members.

Do you really believe the Devil (or Satan) has any kind of power? Do you believe God is perhaps playing a game of chess with any other supernatural being, toying with men? The earth, and all life belong to God......do you really believe a Fallen Angel could interfere with or disrupt what Father is doing?

The darkness in men's hearts comes down to choices......every man is capable of doing evil; it is the choices we make every day to do good that matters.

The Darkness that currently rules this world; those wealthy men (and women) will lie, cheat, steal and even kill to have power and wealth. But it is their choice to covet such things that drive them, nothing else.

People have been fooled into thinking there is another God roaming the earth.
That I can agree with......the people have been fooled by other men, and themselves.

The "good" people must not rise up against the Darkness that is currently ruling this earth......Thou shalt not kill. But help is here....and there is more on the way. We are just waiting for a few more events, things that need to happen before the Angel's Stand.

The JW’s blame wars on an imaginary God.

Yes, the Devil most certainly has power, or we would not be warned about him in Scriptures.

Of course.

Yes, money can and does corrupt. But I believe that both people and angels contribute to the dark environment in which these choices must be made. And they are responsible along with the person who must make choices.

I do not know the JWs belief's......and do my best not to judge anyone based on whatever they might believe.....all will answer before God in the end.
Well, I know the JW’s beliefs as well as the beliefs of the RCC and the Protesters.
It’s good to know their beliefs and to compare them with Scripture.
They fail, scripture wins.

Could you please tell me where in Scripture it states that the Devil (or Satan) has power over God?

When the Protestant movement broke away from the Catholic Church, they still took most of the Bible that the Catholic Church used as the base of their doctrine (I think there was 3-4 Book's the Protestants dropped). While I am not familiar with the Catholic Bible; in my search engine I cannot find any Bible reference where it states or even indicates that Satan has power over God.

I believe the "warning" was given...so that men would not make the same mistakes that Satan did....to hold oneself above God or His Law.

Please show where Satan and the devil is referred to as fallen angels.
The JW’s say the supposed fallen angels changed their name to demons.
Please show me this claim to be true from Scripture.
