Growth 40 Days to Easter

I have always enjoyed the "Resurrection Day's" activities. In my early years, we were Methodists, and Resurrection Day was a very special day every year. My Sister, Brother, and me would get new outfits for this special day of going to church. The Pastor would preach on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. What a special day, I loved the dinner my Mother cooked up, nothing was spared. My Parents were professionals and money was no object. Those were great early years of my life.

When I think of "Resurrection Day" my mind goes to this verse of scripture.... Act 4:33 "And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all."

Wow, those early days after Jesus was raised from the dead, and witnessed by the Apostles, must have been so exciting because their faith had become a reality. JESUS HAS COME BACK!! Abba Father was able to place in the hearts of those men "great power" for witnessing to the lost.

Not only great power, but "great grace" Abba Father placed an abundance of grace or favor that the Apostles had never experienced before. What road blocks used to delay or stop their future plans would now not exist. Satan was dead in his tracks because of God's power that held him back. Praise our matchless Elohim (God) for the resurrection of His "one of a kind" Son.

I Love You All,

Day 27

'And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split. ' Matthew 27:50-51 https://www.bible.com/bible/100/MAT.27.50-51 NASB

The size of the curtain—sixty feet tall and thirty feet wide. One instant it was whole; the next it was ripped in two from top to bottom.

What did the torn curtain mean? What did the torn curtain signify for us?
We are welcome to enter into God’s presence—any day, any time. God has removed the barrier that separates us from him. The barrier of sin? Down. He has removed the curtain.

The price for our redemption had been paid! The sacrifice for our sin had been made! Sin was forgiven! Guilt was atoned for! Eternal life was now offered! Heaven has been opened! It is finished! Anne Graham Lotz

Day 15
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. ~ROMANS 6: 8-9

Revelation 5:9

"And they sang a new song, saying;
"You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For you were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by your blood;
Our of every tribe and tongue and people and nation."

1 Timothy 3:16

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the gentiles.
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory."

Day 27

'He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. ' Matthew 28:6 https://www.bible.com/bible/100/MAT.28.6

Following Christ demands faith, but not blind faith. “Come and see,” the angel invites. Shall we? Take a look at the vacated tomb. The opponents of Christ never challenged its vacancy? No Pharisee or Roman soldier ever led a contingent back to the burial site and declared, “The angel was wrong. The body is here. It was all a rumor.”
When the apostles argued for the empty tomb, the people looked to the Pharisees for a rebuttal. But they had none to give. As A.M. Fairbairn put it long ago, “The silence of the Jews is as eloquent as the speech of the Christians!”

We serve a risen Savior!

Colossians 2:12 "having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.
2:13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,
2:14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross."

O my friends, Just take a moment and meditate on the Baptism that most of us have joyfully walked into the waters of baptism. O the joy of identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Master. Every year, when I celebrate "Resurrection Day", I remember afresh those Baptismal waters when before the whole wide world, I was not ashamed of Jesus Christ my Master....Praise His matchless Name.

Matthew 28:2,3 NKJV

2. "And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.
3. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow."

They asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” MARK 16:3 ( NIV )

What stone, what obstacle is ahead of you that you think
you can’t move or get around, that blocks you
from fulfilling your commitment to the Lord?
Is it the stone of financial limitations?
Practical inexperience? Physical weakness?
If we steadfastly cling to our faith in Him,
persevering in our commitment to Him,
He will roll away the stones for us!

You are not asked to trust in a dead Jesus, but in One who, though He died for our sins, has risen again for our justification. You may go to Jesus at once as to a living and present friend. He is not a mere memory, but a continually existent Person who will hear your prayers and answer them. He lives on purpose to carry on the work for which He once laid down His life. He is interceding for sinners at the right hand of the Father, and for this reason He is able to save them to the uttermost who come unto God by Him. Come and try this living Savior, if you have never done so before.

Charles H. Spurgeon

John 11:25 NKJV

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, He shall live."

Crown Him the Lord of life:
Who triumphed o'er the grave,
Who rose victorious to the strife
For those He came to save. - (Bridges )

Day 31

'For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; ' 1 Peter 3:18 https://www.bible.com/bible/100/1PE.3.18

One of the reference points of London is the Charing Cross. It is near the geographical center of the city and serves as a navigational tool for those confused by the streets. A little girl was lost in the great city. A policeman found her. Between sobs and tears, she explained she didn’t know her way home. He asked her if she knew her address. She didn’t. He asked her phone number; she didn’t know that either. But when he asked her what she knew, suddenly her face lit up. “I know the Cross,” she said. “Show me the Cross and I can find my way home from there.” So can you. Keep a clear vision of the cross on your horizon and you can find your way home. MAX LUCADO

Galations 2:20 NKJV

'I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I that live , but Christ lives in me.'

'O to be like Thee, Blessed Redeemer!
This is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I'll forfeit all of earth's treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear. ' - Chisholm

John 19:32,36 NKJV

32. Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him.
33. But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.
34. But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
35. And He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and He knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe.
36. For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled. Not one of His bones shall be broken."
