Many law enforcement departments allow and arrange for ride-alongs, so the average citizen can see what it's like for an officer. Some of those who do the ride-alongs get bored with the lack of action, while others get more than they bargained for.

Not everyone is cut out to do police work.

I think it would be cool if police was a rotating job. with people that do not want to be a cop.

I would never want to be a cop. I'd end up in prison. I have zero tolerance for belligerent people.
