What's your favorite dessert?

Mine is chewy chocolate brownies, with chocolate icing. Chocolate on chocolate. MMMM!

Also, in the favorite top ten, is:

Copeland's Bananas Foster

Baklava

Lemon Meringue or icebox pie

Key Lime pie

Pecan pie (pronounced PEE KAN)

Homemade Chocolate Chip cookies

7 layer cookies or brownies, the dessert with sweetened
condensed milk, coconut, chocolate chips, graham cracker
crust, etc...

cheesecake, although I haven't found any decent cheesecake in about
ten years~ have you?

apple dumplings with cinnamon sauce

and... one of my last resort desserts, if there's nothing else better, butter pecan ice cream

Do you crave thin mints so much that you can’t wait for your doorbell to ring this time of year so you can stock up? Or do you prefer the pantry packed with trefoils shortbreads? The girl scout cookie you prefer reveals something about your personality.

Trefoils: You thrive under pressure. Shortbread lovers are self-confident, organized go-getters who are energized by stress; the no-frills crunch of Trefoils appeal to your assertive nature.

Thin Mints: You’re easygoing. Those who favor bold flavors like mint are easygoing types. You’re the one at home who doesn’t feel the need to make waves, and the one your co-workers find the most agreeable.

Samoas : You’re brainy. Fond of this comparatively “complex†cookie with its many textures and flavors? You’re smart and focused. And since you set high standards for yourself, people are impressed by whatever you do!

Do-Si-Dos: You’re a kid at heart. Can’t stop at just one of these wholesome oatmeal-and-peanut-butter combos? You’re a little old-fashioned, with a big appreciation for life’s simpler pleasures. Your home is a place where others always feel welcome.

Tagalongs: You have artistic flair. No matter what project your tackling, your creative streak always shines through. And you don’t like to be distracted---lovers of this cookie can seem shy, but often, you’re just deep in thought!

(I like Samoas and thin mints)

Bah!

I like it because I like caramel. :-D

:smt081 Nope, that's not me. OK, maybe my co-workers found me agreeable, but as for making waves, hey, I can blow up a hurricane if I feel I have to.

Be that as it may, Thin Mint cookies with an iced cold glass of milk - mmmmmmmm!

I've had to come up with a new favorite dessert. It used to be double-fudgy-wudgy chocolate chip brownies, but now chocolate gives me a headache. When I'm resurrected with a perfect body that's not susceptible to migraines, I'm going straight for a double-fudgy-wudgy chocolate chip brownie.

Meanwhile, my next best favorite is fresh Strawberry Pie. I slice fresh strawberries into a pie shell until the strawberries are just below the rim. In a saucepan I mix sugar, a little corn starch and a small box of Strawberry Jello, add water and bring to a boil and boil for one minute. I pour it over the strawberries and chill for a couple of hours. And naturally, this would be served with whipped cream!

Samoas-- I have to agree with Vic on this one!

I loooove pecan pie also!!!! :smt118

PS, Handy that strawberry pie sounds delicious!!

Have you eaten the Samoas THIS year? Girl Scouts has gotten rid of all the trans fats!
The samoas taste like dust, to me.

Yes, pecan pie, when made properly, and just a bit warmed over, is DEEE licious!

Well, I just posted this test as a fun thing to do. As for the strawberry pie, sounds easy enough.
And, good! Do you also happen to have a recipe for homemade lemon squares?

Anybody like baklava?

That's one of my favorite desserts, and I buy one or 2, sometimes, when hubby and I go
to a fast food Middle Eastern place in the mall, here.
It has layers of flakey pastry, chopped walnuts, and honey.

MMMM!

Absolutely! I pig out on the stuff when the Greek Festival arrives each year. :-D

Baklava is wonderful stuff! It's one of my favorites.

No, I don't have a receipe for Lemon Squares, I always 'cheat' and use Krusteaz. The Krusteaz box makes really good Lemon Squares though.
