i don't have much $$$...so I wrote my mama (its the southland, y'all...LOL...) a heartfelt, not too long note/letter.

I got over to my parents' place...we ate great food. they even cooked up a dish we had a lot when I was a kid, but...not much since then. even better than i remember it...

and things are going well for them, thank goodness. i had a little chit chat with my dad, no big shakes...just...a pleasant time, where before there was all sorts of tension and anger and bitterness and sadness and now....

good day. good meal. good people. I am thankful, of course. :-)
