Mt 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
What was happening since the days of John the Baptist that had not happened before? Devil possession? Never before in Israel's history had they as people been rampant with devils. So how is devil possession taking the kingdom by force?
Luke 17:20 "...The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."
The devils by force were taking the kingdom within. Jesus went about casting them out and offering the kingdom of God.
Mt 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
