Funny that no sister or wife was mentioned until after Cain was sent away. I have asked many pastors and other people that claim to understand the Bible these same questions that I have offered and have never had anyone offer ANY explaination other than the same old story that doesn't answer anything that is backed by the words of the book.
So, you people actually believe that at one time there were NO people and that at the moment of their introduction they were immediately gifted with the skills to be sheppards and farmers? Even with all the evidence of man being a nomadic gatherer in the beginning? Many tribes of American indians were nomadic gatherers just a few hundred years ago. This sounds good for a simple explaination offered without understanding but it certainly doesn't explain how some people lost this knowledge of planting their food and raising animals.
And funny how God gave the first creation plants that were already in existence to be their food, yet Adam was told that his punishment would be to till the earth, (work for his food). This isn't even a consideration in the first chapter of Genesis. God said that the plants on the face of all the earth were to be theirs for food. He blessed them and never mentioned having to work for their food in the first chapter.
So all the theories of the evolution of animal domestication are just that: theories? Man never learned any of these bits of knowledge from evolution but from the creation of the first was a successful farmer and sheppard? Wow.
And I suppose you guys also believe in a world-wide flood too? That Noah gathered two of every worm, and every lizard, and EVERYTHING that exists on the land that we know of today? And that these same worms and lizards, (that just happen to be often different on different continents), have somehow been able to spread back through the entire earth in 6 or 7 thousand years? And wouldn't this also mean that since you don't believe in evolution that Noah had to gather two of every species of every different land animal. I mean like two kimono dragons, and two skinks, and two anoles, and two gekkos, and two blind snakes. etc, etc, etc. Must have been a crowded ark.
And where oh where did all the other gods come from? If Noah and his wife and children were the only people to replinish the planet, you mean that somehow the knowledge of THE GOD that saved mankind from complete destruction was somehow lost and replaced by sun gods and moon gods and gods of fire and water. You certainly paint man of seven thousand years ago to have a very very short memory considering that there were many people on many different continents that knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about God until only a few hundred years ago. So these people are the decendants of Noah and his children yet lost every bit of knowledge of their true God?
Amazing. Under these circumstances I'm surprised that God didn't destroy them over and over again before now.
Also, if men from the beginning were blessed with the understanding of raising animals why have there been so many people of the past that made arrowheads and spearheads out of stone to kill their game? Seems like a lot of extra work for people that knew how to raise sheep and cattle.
And guys, do you REALLY believe that all the combined knowledge that man possesses today was collected in only nine thousand years? Wow, not only do we have very short memories but we are really, really smart too.
I get it. Man didn't evolve at first, he went backwards. He lost his God, (even when there were only a handful of people on the planet, people that KNEW God), and lost his knowledge, ( how to plant food and raise animals), then at one point, gained it all back again.
