I think it would be nice to pray for all of those who lost family members and the whole tragedy of 9/11 :pray

I will join you in that sister. Prayerfully those terrible events brought many to examine their faith in God, and seek Him as they may never had. A prayer I have today upon reflection is that it doesn't reoccur. Life goes on and God is able to keep them in all their heartache, and I sure hope they have found the peace only He can give in Christ Jesus.

I can remember the horror of watching all those people jumping to their death.

Not too long ago, I watched a documentary on the 'Falling Man'. He was but one of the people who either jumped or fell from a window as the building shook. His descent was captured by a photographer who was snapping pictures of the burning tower, not paying attention to what was being captured on film. When the film was developed, there was the 'Falling Man'. It took quite a while, but his identity was eventually discovered. He had been part of the staff at the restaurant Windows on the World, on the 107th floor. It was a powerful documentary.

As both towers shook, people who opened windows to get breathable air were in peril of falling, and so many did. Others chose their fates, as opposed to being either burned alive and suffocated. What a horrifying time those dear people experienced.

Yes,just having a nice breakfast....

The Churches in New York were packed. The biggest turnout they have ever seen.It was not long before the attendance started slacking off.Like the saying goes "You never see an atheist in a fox hole".

the churches in my area were filled; many of them had people stopping in and praying . As time went on, several of the churches continued to have higher than usual attendance. Other churches actually lost their usual attendance numbers. So sad.

I worked that day.Everyone was very quiet and solemn. The news was saying they did not know where they were going to hit next.I was in our chapel often and they had a prayer service and it was standing room only. That has not happened since.

How very many of those three thousand people in complete fear for their lives may have for the first time called upon the name of our Lord sealing their destiny?

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?

That is true. And the plane that went down that day it was told that they could hear a bunch of people saying the Lord Prayer before they heard nothing.

off topic I don't believe that plane went down as said. I have my reasons. we have plenty of bodies from the air craft shot down in the Ukraine but not much was mentioned about that flight with that. just saying.

I can't believe its been so long. I remember the day...bleached hair, bad depression, waking up: the nation's under attack! So many lives lost, a nation changed forever...

Anyway, its crazy how things have changed since then. If anything, our culture has gotten worse, not better. But for a while there, we all stood united, despite everything...

...a little silver lining in a cloud full of pain.
