a couple of my friends have been busting on me because I'm a pacifist

i will not fight for any reason


...i feel bad


what do i do?
 
they're making you feel bad, enough to cause you to think of it as a problem and ask for advice.

I let you kill me if you want?

I said they are not persecuting, just telling me that my pacifism is hurting me....

There not your friends. Yes it hurts when you thought you had a friend but you find out they are not. Remember Noah did not have many friends because He was true to the will of God.

You got to be prepared to stand alone with God if it is needed.

Don't change. Read Matt. 25's Parable and ask why Christ was OUTSIDE His Virgin church even??
Then go to Matt. 10 & start with verses 5-6 to see where Christ sent His diciples [FIRST]. And if they would not hear?? (no fighting!) But just TOTAL SEPERATION!

Read verse 15!! (for whom was the worse in Judgement) These ones were all the PROFESSED of God followers even, Christ's ex/bride! It was they who are the satanic killers seen on in the chapter! (see Rev. 17:1-5 for today's ones)

And as being such?? They needed the power of STATE. Look at verses 24 on of Matt. 10 for the 'REAL' problem that you will have and who it comes from. Hey, read Eccl. 3:15!

So NO, it is not you, but they which do not have the required Born Again Words, but only satan's FORCE of State to persecute. And it seem's that you are in GOOD Company if verses ibid. 25-38 follow on.

And it is one thing to be required to HATE SIN, and then quit another to LOVE the SINNER!
But NEVER does the Godhead persecute or force one to worship or serve them, just satan & his, ones do that!

PS: And today we even see censorship + banishment used for ones forced will??

Why would you feel bad? It is your conviction and it is your right and they should respect that. You are not obligated to even tell them why you believe as you do.<O:p</O:p

There's no need to speak such things. :shame

I was simply saying that the best way to handle people like that is to pray them to the Lord. That's all. Pray for those who annoy, harass, and give you problems. That's it :dunno
 
Don't listen or worry about what others think - stay with Jesus and you'd be alright :) Tell them that you rather not kill any human being, (for any reason), as MY God told me not to ...
 
Oats, you are a lovely young man. The kind I hope my daughter will choose for a husband one day. (You aren't married yet, are you? ;) ) Stand strong in who you are. You have a lovely character and if you are a pacifist then its all good. (I can't see Jesus as a fighter.) God made you unique and beautiful so please don't change for the sake of others. Be true to who you are in Christ.
If your friends tease you about it, just let it slide. Their opinions don't count at the end of the day. It is the Lord that smiles upon you that makes life's hardships worthwhile. Focus on where you are heading (eternal life) and it will make these stumble blocks a little easier to handle.
