A question about prayer.

Did you ever know when someone was praying for you at a specific moment? I don't mean in church or at a time when it would be likely that someone is, but just out of nowhere from the deepest despair to be lifted up completely and know it was a result of someone praying for you, but at the same time not being able to prove it, just knowing it?

Am I crazy or does this happen to other people?

Actually I have and you are not crazy.... I am though. :D

Interesting how we "label" spiritual phenominon......

Some would call what you are desribing Dave as "psychic" or "occultic" because it deals with the "hidden" aspects of the mind. But depending on HOW you word it, it may be excepted by mainstream Christians.

I have had such experiences on college exams when someone prayed for me and other such events. That is the power of the Spirit and taping into this aspect of the Divine is a lofty goal and worth the effort!

If it happened often enough, it could be used to prove either psychic abilities or prayers work. Just have someone pray and see if you can guess who prayed. Statistics should show if it was coincidence or if there is a real phenonma.

The funny thing about being born again in Jesus Christ, is that, for me at least, the proof came afterwards. Faith must come first.

The greatest miracle of all is that, while I was His enemy, He died for me.

It's an amazing thing to know that sometimes my Lord makes me aware of how things work first hand, even though I already know from His Word.

It's a strange, but wonderful thing, our lives in Christ. I'm not one to spiritualize everything, ask around, but I do hold these moments close to my heart. The first thing that I think of when this happens is how selfish and self centered I have been with my own prayers. :sad
