[ Testimony ] A Supernatural Experience...

Evil spirits had come into my life as a consequence of my sin.

I prayed to Jesus that he would not leave me here to be evil like these people.

He was telling me that he would deliver me from this evil, our enemy, the devils.

OUR FATHER PRAYER

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come.

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive our debts.

As we forgive our debtors.

And do not lead us into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one.

For yours is the kingdom and

the power and the glory

forever. Amen.

Jesus died for our sins so that we may be delivered from evil.

Psalm 34:4 "I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears."

John 8:32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Hi notforgotten.
With your testimony, there is a Scriptural problem there with saying the Holy Spirit brought suffering/punishment upon you for sins. That is not possible. ALL sin for ALL mankind, past, present and future were ALREADY 100% punished on Jesus' body at the cross and He paid the penalty of going to hell as a result and suffering for us in our place for those 3 days.
Read Isaiah 53:4-5. Romans 8:1, Romans 5, these are just some of the places you will see that all punishment was taken by Jesus in our place so that we receive ZERO punishment. Sinning can give the devil access to your life, but God is not, has not and will not punish you for anything; to say otherwise is to insult greatly my Jesus Who already paid your punishment in full.

Also, longsuffering does mean patience. Suffering in the old English means to tolerate, or even in certain instances to propel (as in, suffer the little children to come to Me; propel the little children to come to Me). It does not mean what it means in modern English. Jesus already suffered as your substitute, so whatever suffering you have experienced, it didn't come from God. Just so you're clear.
