This talk by Marilyn van Derbur was so powerful, I thought I would share. You Americans would know already but I am new to her. A survivor of incest, she speaks with such forgiveness, such compassion and such gratitude. This is almost a Christian testimony. How someone recovers their life, through no fault of their own.
She has got real love in her. The love of Jesus Christ whether she knows it or not. I feel privileged to watch her speak.
 
Notice how articulate she is. And how well she understands herself. And the importance of processing feelings past and present.
She's a strong person now. And such a person can really help others. The perfect counsellor I would say.
