Sorry but after I have study the Illuminati and their agenda, I see how global warming is going to play a big part in this democratic Government.
Please Christians do not be deceived by their false cunning words; as to lead you astray.
When they come talking about all these changes, always remember it will be for our own downfall.
The Illuminati and the New age liars only want to scare you into submission and they are doing a good gob at it.
Remember there is no such thing, you been living for years in this weather and we always had ups and downs. In 2007 here in Texas was a very cold lasting winter unusually cold, so were is this global warming?? Do not let anyone fool you, think for yourselves and go by what you have been experiencing in the pass. NO GLOBAL WARMING!!
Call your Senator and Congress representative when they start this crap and vote NO... :praying

I don't doubt global warming as being real, after all, things change and may change quicker than expected, quicker than some would like to believe. But I seriously doubt man was the cause.
95% of the greenhouse gases is water vapor but for some reason that little fact is mostly ignored.

Who said global weather must remain constant?

Advocates want to cite only the past few decades, back to the beginning of the Industrial Age. That very small sample looks good as evidence but in truth the bigger picture gives a better idea of what has been occurring all the time. Using the science they themselves hail as truth, providing their "evidence", it can be seen this is a normal cycle. If one was to predict where the climate is going it would be that we will continue to warm for a while then we can expect a sudden overall drop. that transition could very well occur in one's lifetime.

Now, my question is when it does begin dropping what are we going to do? Pump as much CO2 into the air as possible?

The major problem is we, the US, may no longer be the "Breadbasket of the world". That has serious political implications. It's been seen that areas that could not support agriculture before are now becoming areas where agriculture is a very real possibility.

Advocates also focus on polar wildlife citing the decrease thereof and/or their habitat is dwindling. This they propose is a bad thing. For polar bears and the like I suppose it is! However, there are plants growing further north than before bringing with it the support for other wildlife and for them this isn't bad at all.

Things are changing. Tossing money at the problem isn't going to do squat. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for clean air and all but sometimes too much of a "good" thing, going overboard, isn't all that great either. Besides, for years science has beat the drum of adaptability for the cause of evolution. Well, now it's our turn to adapt and we don't want to do it.

I believe it's the political climate those in power are most concerned about anyway. That too is going to change.

My biggest beef with Global warming people is this: on volcano can give off more pollutants then the entire history of the human existence yet the earth is supposed to be billions of years old, i bet there would be many MANY volcanoes in billions of years, so my quiestion is this, why do we have any ozone left :o

I think that it is seen as a really good money making opportunity. There is little to support the findings of global warming when looked at a longer period of time, as Rick has stated, but it has caught on like wildfire in the last few years, and no big company wants to be the "evil" one that doesn't like the environment so they all jump on board. I think it is a fad.

No, I couldn't bring myself to watch Al Gore stand there and lie to me :nono

John,
I don't think the ozone layer is getting as much press as it used to. And the term "Global Warming" is losing ground to "Climate Change". Global warming implies all areas of the planet are getting warmer which isn't so. Therefore the term "Climate Change" has become more favorable.
We'll get all the stories straight sooner or later. :lol

Have you ever thought about shutting all the big companies down; what will happen to the people who work for them? I do know, they will be unemployed. Jesus said be fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth. The way these Illuminati people are talking about is-- we must kill people so lets start wars to kill us since our bodies bring so much heat to this planet. Al Gore and his cohorts the New Agers, Masons, and Illuminati will call us terrorist just for disagreeing with them. Pretty soon you will see a changed for the worst. :nono

That's messed up! Did they have you all watch "Expelled" as well to level the playing field?

No i had to watch it on my own time. Expelled is not allowed in schools.

Hold your horses here on calling it a hoax based on bad science.

The science that Al Gore mentioned (I watched that movie) is *not* bad science. Climate Change (or Global Warming, whichever you want to call it), is happening, IMHO. Look at trends from years past on winter weather. It was 68 degrees F *yesterday* in *Ohio*. The next day was 30 degrees F! Hurricane seasons are becoming more violent - look at the Gulf coast.

To what extent? Probably not the extreme extent that some scientists are predicting.

Man made vs natural? A little of both. It's arrogant to say we're the cause of global warming entirely. It's arrogant to say that we can stop it entirely. Personally I think we *expedited* a natural process.

But don't we want to look long-term and have our children and grandchildren see the same wonderful environment that we are able to see today?

Even if you believe it's a bunch of baloney...

No matter which way you slice it, the amount of CO2 that we put into the atmosphere is *not* good. Period. Not good for us, not good for the environment. It would help *us breathe better* if we went to alternative technologies. Smog would be reduced. I've been in a big city with smog in it. I could barely breathe. It's not good for your lungs. Lung cancer would probably decrease which is a nasty nasty disease btw.

Shutting big oil companies down? They can turn their business into plastics (plastics are made up of the same hydrocarbons as oil is). At least plastic doesn't emit CO2. And it can be recycled.

And in all honesty...greener technologies will be better and more efficient for companies. And won't take people out of a job. Research research research! Innovation innovation innovation! People to deal with those technologies...etc...etc...etc...

Sorry for this post not being terribly well researched itself, but I have researched extensively alternative energies, their effects on markets, climate change, etc.

So you're saying it's been expelled? :rolling
Seriously, though, that is wrong that they made you watch it...gotta love government schools :shame

Heck, I worked in Monessen, Pa ... Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. You could smell the town before you saw it. And when you saw it there was a light brown haze that hung over it. When the steel mill shut down the air cleaned up.
Wheeling-Pitt could not compete with a global market. Japan built modern facilities (we bombed all the competition) while Wheeling-Pitt still had WWII vintage equipment. They struggled with the ongoing addons to comply with the clean air act. And the unions didn't help any either.

aside from that...
I understand the motives for a clean environment but we can't strangle the economy doing it. There must be a balance with the ultimate goal of getting better. We may embrace tighter restrictions to do our part but that certainly doesn't mean other countries must comply. We can clean up our act but I'm afraid all we'll be accomplishing on a global scale is reducing the rate somewhat at which other countries pollute just about everything else without restriction and that's about it.

We are well aware of the research needed, the media has made that quite plain. But what I see little of is the effort to adapt to a changing climate. It mat take several generations but I think we'll be lagging behind on the adaptive issue. People don't want to change their location (home is home after all), our agriculture is used to dominating the global market and we're still afraid of nuclear energy. No amount of research is going to pull us through in the immediate future and we have technologies that can get us through until such time those newer technologies come to maturity. Thing is, we have to start now and I'm not seeing it. Seems people are waiting for those future technologies doing little to start doing something today. Our own comfort zone of present still isn't threatened enough.

It's like a dog lying on the porch moaning.
One farmer asked the other/
"What's up with your dog?".

"He's laying on a nail."

"Well, why doesn't he move?"

"I suppose it doesn't hurt enough yet."
:shrug

By the time it really hurts we'll have little in place to rely on except of course a promise. But with a floundering economy I'm not sure just how much researching we'll be able to do.
