After death I hope to see Jesus

Despite my interests in other cultures than that of which I was raised.....

And many days studying philosphies that are "non - mainstream" Christianity.....

After death I hope to see Jesus.

Maybe its the miracles.... or the Resurrection verified by eye witnesses.... or the compassionate nature of the Son of God in general (crucifixtion).....

No I am not sure how it will pan out for people in the Mid East that were born and raised Muslims.... or the Buddhists deep in the hills of the Himalayas..... Was it there fault they cannot grasp the "message"?

I dont know.

All I know is that the right thing to do is live a life emulating and pleasing to that of Jesus Christ.

It is quite simple really. Stop sinning! Strive to do good for His sake in whatever context you are presented with.

Doing this and believing that Jesus is going to be there for you is all it takes to be a believer. It doesnt take a Church or an affiliation with any institution of man. All it takes is allowing your heart to be broken so that you may become humble in God's eyes.

At death I hope to see Jesus.... with you.

I really like your post Soma-Sight. I too hope to see Jesus after death. But if I may, I would like to ask you on personal question. What cutlure were you raised in? And how did you come to Christianity?

Since you were talking about people raised in other religions, or "deep in the Himilaya's" I would suggest you read Mere Christianity, by CS Lewis. It talks about this "problem" a bit in his book. It makes you really think on the subject. I think everyone should read that book, Christian or not.

To put your mind at Ease about your non Christian brothers.....
First and Foremost two facts....

God is not a Christian..... Shock Horror.... true non the less

The Lord made from one, every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times, and the boundaries of their habitation...for in Him we live and move and are [have our being] (Acts 17:26-28).

Any further concerns about your non Christian brothers ?

Grace and Peace to you

Fact: Jesus Christ is God, and Christ Jesus is the foundation of Christianity. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes to God except through Christ.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Fact: Those who believe in Jesus Christ are brothers and sisters in Christ, and are children of God; while those who are unbelievers are yet to become brothers and sisters in Christ, and are not yet the children of God.

33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? 34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. Mark 3:33-35

Know that there are those that are not brothers in Christ. Their are those who are false brothers who intend to direct brothers in Christ away from the truth.

And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: Galatians 2:4

False brothers do not have the love of God, instead they have the hate of their father the devil, and are tools of the enemy to bring the brothers in Christ into bondage.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1 John 3:10

Paul taught the idol worshippers on Mars hill who the true God is, and how to become brothers in Christ Jesus. Some believed while others mocked.

22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter. 33 So Paul departed from among them. 34 Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them. Acts 17:22-34

Solo, Thank you so much. I appreciate the way in which you clean up the mess and share the truth within the scritpures here. It is indeed, very refreshing. It removes the grieving brought about by the lures of deception , and gives birth to the joy in truth. :smt023

Thank you for lifting up high the banner of the spirit of truth.

  • Ephesians 6: 10-14
    10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

I stand by my original post,

God is not a Christian.....he is the all powerfull Lord of Hosts the Lord of all Creation...he is the Father of Jesus, his only begotton son.
Many times scripture will tell you that Jesus is the Son of God, many times you will see that in scripture.

We have Sons... God had a Son too, the sons of men and the son of God share one thing in common...born of a Woman, if you choose not to believe the Gospel, then that is your choice...unbeliever.

Grace and Peace to you non the less

1 cor 2:11-16
11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

You too can have the Holy Spirit. You must recieve Jesus Christ as God as your Lord and saviour.. Once you have done that you will recognize the
the things of the Holy Spirit who reveals truths..
Until then you will remain the natural man.
