There's a little distortion of reality right in the middle of the left-right axis of the image. 2

Yep. It's a stitch, and the image software messed up a bit on the curb. I could go back and fix it, but you're the only person who's seen it so far.

I figured it had something to do with the van sliding on slick ice.

Over a week ago, we had 10 inches of snow, which made travel hazardous initially. The slip-sliding away of vehicles brought to mind the old Paul Simon song.

Still, despite my personal dislike of the white stuff, your photo is stunning (as usual).
