Col. 2:9

Mahalo for the welcome Eugene, my accent is fun to figure out; you're not the first person to ask... lol

Welcome to me too... seeing as I'm new here too.
Hi Pink and welcome. It's wonderful to have to have a great clothing line (Pink) among us. It's a pleasure to have you here and may God bless your time with us in Jesus' name. :wave

Aloha! Welcome to CF. :wave

My daughter lives in Kaneohe. I look forward to spending a few months a year there.

Aloha Claudya, and Mark...

I tried four or five times to quote you both; but it kept quoting Pink from this morning: I know I clicked the right option, at the bottom of your quotes, at least once. lol

Cool Claudya, not bad all the way from Germany.
Not many Hawaiians in Hawaii speak Hawaiian either, I don't know much more than, aloha, myself.
Thank you for your wishing edification upon me; God bless you with a double portion.

Mark, you might want to check out the Big Island while you're here, it's mo bettah den Oahu... unless you like traffic, and crowded beaches.
God bless you and your Daughter, mine lives a few miles away, and that's too far.

Well, hhh, I have checked out the Big Island. My daughter lived there for a few years, in South Kona, before moving to Oahu to earn a degree in architecture. She now works for a firm in Honolulu, but I know she'd eventually like to get back to the Big Island. I like the Big Island better too.

Ahhh Mark! my Daughter was just talking about moving to Oahu for work last month; I pray she stays home.

God bless you both to find your way back home too.

I'm sure most people who have been to Hawaii nei, would rather not live on Oahu.

I came to Hilo, when there were only 3 traffic lights all the way around the island...

I use to live in the wilderness between Waipio Valley, and Pololu Valley, where only Hawaiian royalty honeymooned, I never saw one person there in years; and I lived over 4 years without using any money at all; I could never imagine living on Oahu...

"Aloha" is probably the one Hawaiian word almost everyone around the world knows as a way of saying "Hi!". It has its own wikipedia entry. So I just learned that it actually means "love". That's awesome, Hawaiians greet each other by saying "Love!" I so want to live in Hawaii now. :yes
This website does also explain that the word Aloha has some deep spiritual meaning... not necessarily a christian one, but it can translate well into christian spirituality.

God morning Claudya, Yes, the word Aloha is a beautiful word, and many children born here have it in their name.

Aloha means, Hello, good-bye, and I love you.... it is used in the same form for family, and strangers. It kind of translates to mean, Hello, goodbye, I love you with unconditional love.

The title of this thread, is the way the Hawaiian Bible says, God is love, in 1John 4:8

Aloha nui loa Claudya: that literally means, Aloha big and long; or, Lots of aloha to you.
