Always question your own assumptions

This is what Jordan Peterson does so well.
He is transparent to himself. He is an open book. Ruthlessly honest with himself. He is always striving for objectivity. To my knowledge he has no agenda. He is not trying to win people over politically. He encourages self examination. Always.

If there is anything I try to imitate of Peterson it is this.
As Christians we must also try to be an open book. Avoid manipulation. Say "this is what I think now, even I might change my mind later".
I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. More on a subjective level than analytical level. But I am aware of it. Some people don't believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That's their prerogative. I shouldn't have a patronising attitude to them. I am no better than them.
Respect all beliefs. Respect all views.
Actually sounds easy. But it's not.

Its Thursday so i dont care, but i will question that and change my mind tomrorow because it will be Friday im in love.

Re JP
Jordan Peterson
I'm older than him by almost 10 years I think. Yet he has become like a surrogate father to me. I loved my own deceased father but I needed an intellectual father when I was younger. My real father was a great person and a real humble soul. But his education was limited. He was not an intellectual. Maybe that made him a nicer person. A more loving person.
Anyway I am intellectual enough to love listening to intellectuals like Jordan. JP has a very practical element to his intellect which makes him appealing to a broader audience. People like him become popular because they can communicate difficult concepts in every day language. They synthesise too. So we can connect different concepts.
But I regret not being 20 years old and discovering JP. He is so useful to a young man. Jordan is a motivator. Hey your act together . Get some goals. He is encouraging. "Don't let failure cause you to quit and become a victim." It's such commonsense but he communicates in such a refreshing way.
His analysis of the Bible is fascinating. Also writers like Nietzche. Using the best of these authors to understand life and ourselves.
I have 4 years left of work life. Wouldn't it be great if I could use JPs motivation to create a new path. Never too old.

Then JP, our hero gets sick, suffers a breakdown.
Maybe some of us thought he was superman.
Best not to put people on pedestals.

Those of us who struggle with self discipline and goal setting need Peterson the most.
But those already with self discipline may not. They need something else. Maybe they need new insights. Fresh lateral thinking. Peterson does offer some of this too. Some people might even have too much self discipline. Afraid of chaos. Maybe they need to let go of control. In a religious sense, we need to let go of our ego. And let a more relaxed wise voice in our hearts take over.
This might be what Peterson needs now himself. A less rigorous daily life. More time to smile at the grandkids antics. Or the dog for that matter. Slow down Jordan. You've achieved enough. Maybe you are too driven. And maybe those of us who aren't so driven, are happier. We might be lower on the dominance hierarchy and still lacking assertiveness, but we find more time to laugh and enjoy life.
That's the answer to Peterson. He doesn't hold all the secrets to success and life in general. People like him need to slow down.

Ok Its Friday im in love.

I can question that now as Thursday i dont care has gone. Am i in love?, well, no, im not in love.
I read your deleted post. Sounds like you sometimes enjoy other pursuits besides fishing kiwi.
