An Agnostic That Loves His Christian Brothers and Sisters

Hello all

Yes thats right, I am agnostic. I was raised in a Christian household and around several Christians so I have nothing but respect for the religion. I find the philosophy behind the religion inviting and warm so I still love associating with Christians.

I have spent the majority of my Internet life defending Christianity on boards where people tend to bash without even knowing what they are bashing.

Things to know about me.

I'm a political centrist. I don't consider myself Conservative or Liberal, I prefer to way the situation based on sociology and personal reasoning rather than political poling. :chin

My reasons for being Agnostic is based on my study of world religions and Cultures and nothing more. :study I have never had a falling out with the church that made me leave. I have had bad incidents at church, but those where when I still considered myself Christian and didn't shake my faith. :amen

I'm homosexual, but I understand the Tos. I won't promote homosexuality, but I will answer any questions if needed. :)

To me the honor of first greeting?
Welcome! :)

I'm Sparrowhawke and my friends call me Sparrow.
I hope you find all the good things you look for here. :yes
I've only been a member for a short while but have already made many friends.
You may certainly PM me if you'd like and I look forward to getting to know you.
I think we are pretty closely matched from what I read into your introductory statements about Political and it seem we share an enjoyment of Sociology too. Many hours have been spent in what some would call "deep" conversations with a friend who had his masters in Soc. -- He was also a prominent Tuba player (tubist?) My first question to him was "Why would you ever?" There is hardly any career work in that field except teaching and he admitted it was because he just liked helping people. My favorite joke to him was to say, "Um-pa-pa" and he would know that I was suggesting that nobody understood him. I never really did either but does it matter?

May I ask what attracted you to this forum? Was it because you wanted to form friendships with "Christian Brothers"?
