[__ Prayer __] An Unusual Prayer Request

I realize right away that this is going to sound rather unusual but,.. I am a proud kitty mama and I believe that our pets are our family too. When I was posting pictures of my babies Jasmine and Jessie today I started thinking about the fact that it's been three years this September since Jasmine ran away. She might have only been a cat but every night I pray for the chance that she might come home some day, or if that isn't possible I ask God to see that she is well taken care of and loved like she was when she was still with us. So if you have pets and love them like I do, I simply ask that you pray for that as well. I just care that she is alive, safe, and sound somewhere even though I really, really want her to come home.

Did you check with your local shelter to see if she'd been brought in? Put up fliers? When my cat many years ago ran off I plastered the neighborhood with posters. Checked the shelter every day. Then one day kitty turned up on my porch as if nothing was wrong. He'd been gone a week.

I will certainly pray for your kitty to return home too. It is aggravating not to know. And then all these bad things start to run through your mind as to what could have happened. Especially if you live in a rural setting where there are four legged predators. I had to shut my imagination down in that regard because we have foxes and other hunters back home and I feared the worst.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. We tried looking for her for about a month shaking her food bowl and calling her name but we never found her. I posted pictures of her on the photography thread as well as the kitty we have now and my engagement ring if you want to see them.
