And God said, Let there be light:

Ok, so when we think of righteous indignation or anger...we must be careful to do this spiritually and with a spiritual focus...not letting the carnal mind seep in for any consideration of the matter. Otherwise, we would be instantly going carnal and totally changing the definition of such anger and perspective. This righteous indignation must be Yhvh's Himself and not our own for He is in us and we have His mind and heart. All things are done unto God, even becoming angry. But even the anger must be a loving anger for God is love and we are to become love and love our brothers as ourselves.
Make sense?

:) Praise the Lord! And another scripture:

Matthew 5:22
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire./

There you go. I know it says without cause, but, as soon as we would go carnally minded with the anger and not led by the Spirit...in danger of the judgment. Because if we are not angered unto God...it could so easily lead into sin. Our fight is not with flesh man but with principalities and powers and if this is not taken into consideration immediately upon being angered, then we would be deceived into thinking that we have righteous anger with a brother, when they may simply have an errant spirit influencing them. No matter what they did to you, Jesus still does not want them to perish and wants them to turn unto Him and serve Him, and not perish.

What's the penalty for being angry (or "getting even") with a person that He loves and has plans to save? Uhh, I don't think i would want to do that. So they did something wrong to you. Big whoop. We all have at some time. Even David killed a man to get his wife... and God saved him.

okay, this will take a long time --- to learn to think Yhvh's Way, i.e. literally in sync with(union with) the mind of Yeshua HaMashiach AFTER He has breathed as He did on the disciples with Him on earth at the time that the N.T. writings are about.

the term / meaning / context of "righteous indignation" is uniquely of and from and in Yhvh - not even in the capability of man, any more than the disciples could be saved if they thought that they were able to accomplish it themselves in any manner. as Yeshua told them, "if you think you can do it, you have already failed." and then "but if you trust obediently and with complete reliance and faith in Yhvh to do it, then it is completely and fully done already " (paraphrased from memory).

likewise being angry the way Yhwh says to be is unique, not to be grasped by the carnal mind of man,
and only doable in Yeshua HaMashiach
along with all of the other qualities and aspects and everything spiritually obtained in Him that is included in a complete spiritual life in Him (nothing is isolated from other aspects, as if compartmentalized nor as if separate 'gifts' ; no... a complete, whole, healthy, wholesome, divine life in union in Yhvh with Yeshua --- all parts of character and emotions and mannerisms and thoughts and imaginations and dreams and plans and hopes and directions having been subjected to Yeshua and all the flesh(etc) having been crucified with Him..... )

i.e. no small job. way more than man is able to grasp.

yes sir brother, not even in the capability of man, agreed. And totally unique as you say. it would have to be because we have carnal minds except for the few who have the mind of Christ (or a portion of it). I like how you worded this part (and believe that you indeed have nailed it)..."if you think you can do it, you have already failed." and then "but if you trust obediently and with complete reliance and faith in Yhvh to do it, then it is completely and fully done already " ...boom, there it is. Good paraphrase.

So we can't just go around thinking that is is somehow ok to get angry with people because we can't. Only in the Lord in us is this possible and we should strive to maintain the perspective of loving our brothers and sisters as ourselves. Walking in love is more important than trying to rationalize that we have the right to be angry with people which may or may not be true dependent, but would be a distraction from our spiritual focus which should be upon the Lord and love.
