1 John 3:13-24

New King James Version (NKJV)

13Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother[a] abides in death. 15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
The Outworking of Love

16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know[b] that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. 20 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us[c] commandment.
The Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Error

24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

.........and this is how we know if GOD the heavenly father and his son JESUS rests within us and we are seen as unseen.

Romans 13:8-14
New King James Version (NKJV)

Love Your Neighbor

8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,”[a] “You shall not covet,”[b] and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”[c] 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Put on Christ

11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Reflecting on passages in John or Romans from the scriptures is always wise and should as all scriptures be taken to heart and administered with all seriousness for that is wisdom; that by not only listening, we also do as unto the will of GOD the heavenly father and his son JESUS.

Praise be to GOD the heavenly father and his son lord JESUS CHRIST forever>>>>>>>>>>>

'i' see it stated this way;)...

[3] And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

[5] But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

[6] He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
[7] Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

--Elijah

Who would have thought an obscure, unemphasized fragment of a law would rise up to become the very epitome of what it means to be a Christian?

Are you following me around? You must have a guilty conscience, unless it is already seer???

--Elijah

Are you following me around?
No, but when one loves the truths of the Bible it's hard not to comment on the gross misuse of scripture in the literal Sabbath keeping movements.

I have no idea what you mean by 'aready seer'. Literal Mosaic worship law keeping registers a complete zero on the conviction scale for me. Zero. But some, like the Galatians, are led astray by teachings about that.

Elijah likes to cherry pick the law,he forgets that if Christ didn't render the sabath outdated that he and others like him would have to slay the lawbreakers if there was a temple around.

Ummm.... is anyone else seeing the irony that a thread created for the purpose of reminding us that it is our love towards each other that bears witness to our love for God is now devolving into an argument over who keeps the commandments properly.

Reminding everyone that the Lord tells us what the greatest commandment is: that we should love God with all our heart, mind and soul and love our neighbor as ourselves. On this hangs all the Law (including the Sabbath Law) and the Prophets.

So, let's keep to the spirit of the thread and not derail a thread devoted to bearing witness via our love for one another by ... ummm... arguing.

Again I say, don't get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights.
2 Timothy 2:24 NLT

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:15

1 John 2:7 KJV
</td> <td>Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you; rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning. This old commandment—to love one another—is the same message you heard before.

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
2 John 9-10

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother

1 John 3:10

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:18

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:2

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Mark 12:28-31 KJV

One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question: “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22:35-40 KJV

Glory to God in the name of Jesus.
